Sorted.......renewed every cable ,fitted new connectors, fully working Usals once more.
Checked old cable with continuity tester proving intermittent open circuit on flexy movements on cable.
although old motor was completely goosed.:yahoo::thanks:

I checked the cable. Not the cables.
It must be Vu+ Duo then...

Dont rule out the motor, unless you have tested with another receiver.
Originally my motor was faulty.(4 years old)....replaced with new unit and all new cabling now fine.
You can connect a 12v car battery directly to the motor and use manual buttons to check if it rotates, but obviously not the pulse control side.
You can connect a DC voltmeter to your tuner (in question)output 13/17 vdc.
Or ask an electronics professional to check both Motor/Receiver in the event that you cannot replace to test.

As I said, I tried the motor with my new satellite finder Satlink 6908 which has USALS command inside and the motor DOES move. Well, what else it can be?

Of course.
I can even make the motor move from Positioner Setup (or something like that) but no automatic USALS (nor DISECQ) working. I believe that motor's OK.

Of course.

I believe that motor's OK.

Well,It seems like the receiver is not sending out pulses to the motor then......If you have set up correctly .....then:

1. Get the receiver checked.
2. Use an independant usals/disecq dish mover.

Sorry I have no more ideas....... seems no one else has either.

I've changed the receiver (same model - Vu+ Duo). Installed the newest BH image 2.0.8. USALS still not functioning.
Does ANYONE know what's going wrong here?? :(

Consult the motor manual and reset all aspects.
Select Positioner Setup go to "0"
Try Usals/Diseq again.....

As much as I've found there's no hard reset option for this motor (HH90 Stab), I can only send it to position "0" in Vu+ Duo.
If anyone can help with the information on how to reset the motor that would be great!

On Positioner menu in your receiver, select DiSEqC 1.2 Then select "reference position" or in some receivers it is called 0-position. The motor will move to 0-position and reset. In the case of Satcontrol motor, it will move all the way to East then move to 0-position.

Le me try to explain my problem once again - maybe I'm doing something terribly wrong and I can't find the answer in front of my eyes...

In the USALS setup I put my LON and LAT. I find the reference, true south satellite (0.8 W, which is NOT my true south - it should be 7 E, but 0.8 is much stronger here, nevermind...).
In Satfinder in lock down the 0.8 W with 60% signal strength. When I try to lock down some other satellite (which SHOULD be possible through USALS) the motor moves just a bit (one second) and then returns. Same situation with any other transponder. However, in Positioner Setup I send the motor back to "0" (which is my reference satellite) chose the frequency wanted and it locks down. I DO manage to move the antena through this but no way that it moves though Satfinder which has the coordinates (I believe) for other satellites.
Now, what am I doing wrong here?

Try to move it on a channel with horizontal polarization.Sorry for my English...try...H polarizatio

Seems that the vu duo in V position sends a low voltage

forget satellite-finder

Attempt to move the motor via satellite/channel list
Or via Manual Scan (Type of scan Single satellite)

If you like to test with Satfinder

use

Tune >> Predefined transponder
Change Satellite and if if necessary transponder
to see if you have lock and if the motor move
to the selected satellite.

I tried both options - didn't work.
The tricky part here is that in Positioner Setup I manage to make motor move left or right, but not with any other option. Besides, with my handheld satfinder Satlink 6908 using USALS motor moves and finds other satellites...

And one more thing - when I use manual scan of a satellite (other than the default one) the motor moves a bit (saying, it starts to a given location, I presume...) and returs to position zero.

You have try to disbale second tuner and test with USUALS only one first TUNER
then disable the first tuner and change antenna connector to second
and change the usuals config for second USUALS
???

The trouble is... today, the seller gave me another Vu+ Duo receiver, saying that USALS works fine with it. I came home, tried everything and it didn't work!!!
