Need advice to install Media player 2

I will notify you that the guide is ready to work, and of course, it will be tested on my STB ( DUO2 ), i don´t have another VUPLUS STB to see if it works the same, but i think it will work.

For Subssuport use the latest ver 1.53. from 14/07/2015.

If you are using FULL HD SKINS ( Matrix10 FullHD skins ( 1920x1080 )), i do not recommend others ... put the file plugin_1080p.zip ( unpacked plugin.py ) ... on /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/XBMC as i said on the guide ...

Note: MAKE A PREVIOUS COPY OF YOUR " plugin.py " FILE. located there to a folder at your choice on your pc, you can rename it, if you want before do it, as p.e.: plugin.py_original or plugiin.py_save.

Hello..I have installed again the Media player2 into my Vu+solo SE Receiver and I have the exactly same issue like first installation "Blue picture" on Gotham XBMC... (Afortunately I have saved My Original plugin.py and I have full backup saved on my PC)..
Ok, Let me start with my Observations:
I have followed exactly the same tutorial instructions . I have used plugin_1080P and subsupport ver 1.53 from 14/07/2015.
*The Kodi/XBMC screen change from blue to Red (see the picture) I dont know why?

*The picture video on the movies or live channels the "Persons" looks blue. This problem Only Happen on the XBMc Application .. satellites Channels looks Normal..(see the pictures)


*The problem (blue picture) Only happen through HDMI connection.. Composite Video cables all looks normal with XBMC with Mediaplayer2
*Seems that probably I found what is the Problem. When I go to Set Up Video on the Imagen settings If I set Video Output: HDMI
Mode: 720p
refresh rate :50 Hz
My TV and Menu in the Open black hole Imagen (including satellites channels) shows the same coloration (blue) like XBMC with media player2 already installed (see picture)

If I set my regular Video settings (All times I am using):
Video Output HDMI
Mode:1080i
refresh rate :60 Hz
The Coloration is Normal..(see the Picture)


So, I am On America where Our Tv's Screen are NTSC/60HZ.. Looking on XBMC Video Settings I found that XBMC resolution with Media player2 is : 1280x720@50 hz. Seems that 50HZ is not Match with my 60 HZ of my TV screen, so probably I need to switch the resolution setting on the XBMC with mediaplayer2 to 60HZ.. The Problem is I dont know.. How I can do it?..
Or Probably I need to move something on My Video settings on my Imagen..
The strange of this situation is that This Problem ONLY happen with My XBMC/Kodi with Mediaplayer2 already installed.. Using my default Media Player all Looks Normal.
Questions:
1) any way to set the resolution and move the "HZ" from 50hz ==>> to 60 Hz on the XBMC/Kodi or Media Player2..?
2) What happen If I Backup my Original plugin.py and overwrite over plugin_1080P?.. I still have mediaplayer2? or it will be Default Media player..

*extra comment: during my first installation I have used plugin_720P and the same results with "blue" issues

1) - Test with Fullhd skin attached ( 1920x1080 ), and reply
2) - No... If you copy your original plugin.py over plugin.py ( moded ) you will revert to mediaplayer ( embedded ).

Happy that you have sorted it out!

1) - Before using Mediaplayer2, you must configure:

Configure MEDIAPLAYER2:

On your RCU press <MENU>; on PLUGINS press <OK>; drop down on the list and choose MEDIAPLAYER2 to EDIT SETTINGS.

My configuration as on screenshot:



2) - Configure SUBSUPPORT SETTINS:

On your RCU press <MENU>; on PLUGINS press <OK>; drop down on the list and choose SUBSUPPORT SETTINS to EDIT SETTINGS.

All is almost done:

When playing a movie with MEDIAPLAYER2 pressing this shortcuts on your RCU ( Remote control unit ), will do the JOB:

Controls

• ZOOM/5 - change aspect ratio
• RIGHT/LEFT - increase/decrease subtitles delay
• INFO(I) - when pressed in file/play list, it shows info in CSFD plugin
• SUBTITLES/TEXT - shows subtitles menu
• TV - refreshes subtitles position, in MP2 0.60 shows subtitles status
• 0 - mark position
• NEXT(>) - go to next mark if available/go to next item in playlist
• PREVIOUS(<) - go to previous mark if available/go to previous item in playlist

On the last screenshot i post #31:

1) - I have subtitle settings as: pt ( portuguese )
2) - I have subtitle settings as: pt ( brasilian portuguese )
3) - I have subtitle settings as: en ( english )



On the this one:

1) - I have subtitle settings as: en ( english )
2) - I have subtitle settings as: es ( español ) - spanish
3) - I have subtitle settings as: fr ( français ) - french



When playing a movie pressing the <INFO> button on RCU ... video stops playing and will allow you for searching subtitles.

I´ve founded more subtitles, but is an example as i found subs for 3 languages according my settings on SUBSSUPORT.

The definitions are on SUBSSUPORT and MEDIAPLAYER2..
Pressing <ok> on your RCU and the arrow key's around OK key ... does the job..
Scroll down, Scroll up, right and left. Ok to change settings.

What about what direction you recommend to put My subtitles? . "Start Directory configuration" Media/usb or Media/HDD or Media/SDA1..
I guess that the subtitles information will unload into the direction that I have selected into my set up configuration. correct?..I dont know if the subtitles infomation "is kept" into my Usb or is erased itself after used and watched the movie
I just make sure that not overload my partitioned 16 GB USB

The same directory ( folder ), where you have your media ( movies ).

Example:

/media/hdd/movie

movie.mkv
movie.srt

always the subtitles next to video files.

When downloaded, it will remain as is, i.e., if you don´t erase, move it, or rename it, they will remain allways there.

Something "strange" happened yesterday with my system.
Let me explain: This is My system
1)One Usb slot: I have One 16 GB USB stick (2 partitions): mountpoint : media/usb= Openmultiboot, Media/hdd=XBMC..
2)Second Usb slot: One 16 GB USB stick: mountpoint: media/usb/movie (already set to record stuff)

*I have configurated my second USB stick (media/usb/movie) to put my subtitles information. is already "On start Directory Configuration"..On subtitules configuration

On yesterday I did set regarding the Second USB slot and after watching some Movies with My XBMC. I have verified that the subtitles information are into :media/usb/movie..all looks everything ok...but after log Out XBMC and then select: Plugins==>> "Open Multiboot" to switch my Imagen the message on the Picture is showing on my Tv..


Seems that I lost my Multiboot Configuration..
I did not touch and erase any multiboot files..
Probably to set my second USB stick as : media/usb/movie.(to record & subtitles). is not good election.

It seems that one of your devices it´s not mapped!
Check it on <MENU>, <BLACKHOLE APPS>, <DEVICE MANAGER>.

I think I found the problem: Seems that:
Slot#1 USB Lexar: Media/usb/ Open- multiboot ....is crashing with....Slot#2 USB Cruzier:Media/usb/Movie.. seems that I can not to have both USB's "connected" and "Mapped" at the same time..
All information is there Afortunately!!!
If I turn on My receiver And I go to My Flash imagen (Open black Hole) if I go to Plugins==>> Open multiboot.. Nothing is showing On Media/USB/Open-Multiboot. (see the picture). If I disconnect and Connect this Usb, the Pen drive starts "flashing" and all information is showed immediately (see the picture)..
The same Thing happen with : media/usb/movie.. When Open-multiboot is activate then: media/usb/movie is not showing Nothing..


My Question here is If I switch my second slot USB (cruzier) from: media/usb/movie ==>> to ==>>media /hdd/movie.. could happen the same thing with my other partition media/hdd..I dont know
So what I can do??

Why don´t you try has only one partition on each usb pen drive, i.e:

1) - one -> mapped as /media/usb

on /media/usb --> used for Open Multiboot; picons ...



2) - other -> mapped as /media/hdd

on /media/hdd --> for xbmc; movies... for recording you must create in it the folder <movie>.

Note: Reserve for this the bigger one USB pen Drive.

This probably will avoid confusing the medias.
