Ultimo Ultimo4K- HDMI IN Recording Resolution ?

What resolution can be recorded via the HDMI in? Is it really only 720p max, as I read somewhere that it can record only upto 720P. Anyone can please check and let us know. Thank you.

I think not but I have not test.
They write clearly:
Change recording resolution of HDMI-IN to fixed 720p(ultimo4k)

It is 720p only, even if you feed it with a 2160p source, the recording is still 720p.

I also read somewhere that 720p is the hardware limitation.
My problem is that recordings stop suddenly. Sometimes after 40-60min,sometimes directly when I change the channel. Does anybody know if I can influence this? Or will this bs fixed?

It is possible to in future enable at least 1080p? 720p is really useless...

As HDMI input is digital uncompressed what codec is used? H264 or H265?
What about audio? AC3 5.1 is left "untouched"?

The ideal thing would be to make all this user selectable...

I revive this old post to ask actual situation of HDMI recording in newer Duo 4K. Anyone could explain how it works now? Was resolution limitation issue solved or not? And how to activate HDMI IN instead of any satellite channel in my box? Thanks.
