I want to see my VU + SOLO2 when I'm away from home from my cell phone.
You could tell me how the procedure is.

That's a very old image, the latest Black Hole is 3.0.6, and Open Black Hole is 4.2.
In the latest images you have to set up openwebif, to access your receiver, from an external source, allowing http, and/or https.
In open Black hole the openwebif settings can be accessed from the plugins, I'm not sure about such an old image, as Black Hole 2.17, but try an internet search regarding setting openwebif for viewing outside your network, and port forwarding.
This forum will be closing, for a few days, to fix server problems, so please be patient.

What you asked is one of the more complex things because it involves not only some simple settings on your VU+ but also a good knowledge of your router, its logic and its functions and also of your Internet connection; because there are providers who give their users Static IP addresses (although very few of them) and the majority who give dynamic addresses.
You have to study a lot for that.

Well since nobody bother to explain i will at least do that and see if you have the skills to setup this.

Quick guide

You need to now this first before staring configuration.

1. IP Adress of your router and Username/Password for administration
2. IP Adress of the Vusolo2 you want to setup.

In your router go to advace settings and open a port of your choice as the communication port. You can use standard port 8002 but they are easy to hack.
So use another one that point to your inside port of Vusolo2 port 8002 this is called #Port Trigger# in almost all routers by default.

An example. Trigger port 6868 to inside port (vusolo2 ip adress port 8002) when this is done save settings and reboot your router.

Now go to your Vusolo2 and open settings for transcoding use default settings and save to activate.
Now go to AppStore for Apple product like Ipad/Iphone or GooglePlay for Samsung telefon or Tablets.
Download and install Vu Player HD and you can connect to your Vusolo2 from both inside and outside your network.

From inside the App will find your Vusolo2 automatic when connected to same network. From outside you have to now your ISP IPadress.
This is easy to find if you go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup ther you find adress. If this a more permanet way of use
i would suggest you get an dyndns account and istall to your Vusolo2 then you dont have to look up ip adress anymore.

This is just the short explaining of how it can be done.
