it is formatted in ntfs . powered from the box, when I set it for recording location it says you cant because it is not permitted for read and write

In theory you can't, if it's in NTFS. But, if I'm not wrong, there was an Addon to manage NTFS disk (but I can't chek now because I now use only OBH 4.2).
But, even if you had formatted this HDD in ext3 or, better, ext4, you need also to mount it, before using it. Did you do both things?
And, each image is different: otherwise they wouldn't exist ;) Maybe some of them have also the NTFS driver already built-in.
I'm never been interested, though, because I rather have the VU+ HDD formatted in ext4 because is much more advanced than NTFS file format.

I apologize everyone to write this comment here because its topic was closed.

1- your site and your feed is banned in iran because of the PERSIAN (useless) section. other images and their servers are free for us because they don`t have Persian section.

2- there will be no consequence for you and your website as the .org domain is open. filtering is done based on special words, to be exact based on s.e.x.ual word on persian section. the authorities even don`t know whats is this website about. it is done by machine

3- @Matrix10 when you say free website for everyone , I don`t expect you to be a savoir for us, but the least thing you can do is to change a small word or thing in server address for making it free for everyone.

with respect again we ask you to make it free for Black Hole lovers in Iran.

Our domain has been blocked for months as you know and we have lost our site.
We don't want other issues for political reasons or something else not related to sat world.
Don't make pressure please.

I have already answered you and closed the topic,not without reason
and you open the same question again.

Our domain has been blocked long as you know and we have lost our domain.
With so much effort we got back.
We do not want to risk that our site is blocked for everyone and not just for you.
If we were able to solve problems for you, we would do it.
But not for the risk blocking our site for everyone.
So I would ask you not to start this question again ,we can not change anything.

been there done that....after install don't restore system settings after choosing language....
cause a green screen ... only make your network settings so you have connection..and then press green/yellow on rc and install the above that Matrix10 adviced you...after that you can restore your settings etc.
