OpenBh4.2 Latest Update-Hangs When Playing Media Files

Very good! Anyway, I suggest you to have ServiceApp installed because, before or then, you'll get into a video you won't be able to play.
This is due to the different approach and philosophy OBH has compared to BH, for instance. OBH does not include every module of every kind because this results into a heavy image.
So, it is up to the users to decide what do they want. But it also means, in this case, that some particular video files aren't playable by the standard OBH without an add.

We all know all recorded shows by Stb are in ts format. Are you saying that the ExtEplayer3 is a better player than the default in Obh image? Thanks

No, the "problem" is not with the STB's recordings, of course, but with other kind of video files, as it happened to @twin.
The STB's ts recordings are not the only one video files a user might have and play ;)

The image v4.2.011 freezes also, please see attached log. I quickly flash a backup image which is v4.2.009. Thanks & Best Regards

Thanks to all Creators of Openblackhole, my Duo2 which was updated to the latest image is not working properly. Without any timer recording, it freezes during playback of recorded media files (.ts). I had tried with both players, initially is Extplayer3 and then the original player, they all freezes during playback. Thank you

I have a VU+ Duo 2, running the latest Open Black Hole, without any problems.
Have you added any plugins?
Have you checked the temperature, and performance, of your VU+ Duo 2, from the options in the menu?

Hi Mike12334, thanks for your reply.
There is one plugin call “Neoboot” which I had installed for 2 months I think but no freezing during that time. I think it may not be temperature or performance that is causing any problem. After it freezes 5 times during the trying out of original player & exteplayer3, immediately I restore to a lower backup image and it works fine now. Best Regards
