Ultimo4k And 4K From IPTV

Hi All

I have posted my question on other forms but NO answer...... So Try here

My equipment: Ultimo4k, Samsung tv 9000 series (4K)
Image OBH latest
Problem: Can not watch 4k material from IPTV (E2 iptvplayer)

I have tried changing all the setting on the ultimo.....No Result
I have tried changing all the setting on The Samsung Tv.....No Result.
I have changed all the players using Blue button ( to select internal/external the whole set.)...No result

The 4k content are in
IPTVplayer the Movies section and 1 of the plugins.
I am not sure If i am allowed to put the name of the plugins.

Any help I thank you in advance

Same on my solo 4k,it plays some 4k films on iptv but not others.I think its to do with the codecs.The same 4k iptv material that doesent plays on my solo 4k......plays on my smart tv.

Solo4K, Uno4K, Uno4K SE, Ultimo4K do not support 4K in H.264 (mpeg4) only H.265 (HEVC).

Duo4K and Zero4K both do support 4K in H.264 and H.265.

However Duo4K and Zero4K do not support Mpeg1, whereas Solo4K, Uno4K, Uno4K SE, and Ultimo4K do.

So there is a trade off.

And before you ask, no nothing can be done about it, as it is a limitation of the chipset from broadcom.

I am looking at manual of vu+ultimo4k and it states:
video decoding: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC MVC
H.265/HEVC MP

Could you please tell am I misunderstanding the terminalogy, because I thought it does both 264/265 format

It does H.264 MPEG-4 upto 1080p
It does H.265 HEVC at 2160p

It can not do H.264 MPEG-4 at 2160p

No, as I said above.

Duo4K (and Zero4K) will work with H.265 (HEVC) and H.264 (MPEG4) at 2160p

However Duo4K and Zero4K will not work with Mpeg1
