seeem you gonna need beta tester for vu uno
i would like to join your team
Beta testers need to be able to make reliable reports, but as the image has been available for 4+ days now, with many users downloading it (not just from this board, but others too) and you are the only one having an issue. It suggests the problem is with your setup and not the image itself.

Besides, we already have enough beta testers in our team for the moment.

I have same problem OBH42 like user crush. Few weeks ago I was testing other images (because was no OBH42 for uno) and one of them has same problem.
I can make ssh connection, some errors there repeated (dmesg, something like VIDEO).
Have you some hint which logs to see? I could try to install OBH42 a see what is wrong/problematic.

If you can ssh into the box, when it fails to boot, type init 2 (press enter) to stop the box.

Then type enigma2 (press enter) and look through the log, to see what the error is and post it here please.

OBH 4.2 for Vu+ Uno comes with only german and english languages installed. If you select any other language, box will not boot up.

What does it mean to me?
For now, use either English or German language and it should work.

I need to find time to look to see why the other languages are not working.

Which language did you have selected ?

If you have image installed and it's does not boot, type in telnet init 4
Ftp to your box, open /etc/enigma2/settings, delete the line which begins config.osd.language and save it
type in telnet init 3

The other languages will crash the box, because /usr/share/enigma2/po contains only de and en folders.

What about this:
< 581.474> File "/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/AVSwitch.py", line 380, in InitAVSwitch
< 581.475> NameError: global name 'ngettext' is not defined
for i in range(5, 16):
choicelist.append(('%d' % i, ngettext('%d second', '%d seconds', i) % i))
ngettext is defined in gettext.py
