Vu+ Solo2 Tuner problem

I just purchased Solo2 this month on Digitec.ch. I tried yesterday all the day to configure it. I want to report a serious bug I think. I am using 2 LNBs(one feed) aligned on 13E and 16E simple configuration Tuneburst A/B. While 13E scans and find channels well, on 16E there are only a few channels found. I think the tuner is not scanning transponders properly on Eurobird 16E satellite. I didn't find much on forum except new driver which I installed (http://archive.vuplus.com/download/drivers/). I watch most of the time 16E. I tried with other box(dreambox 500S) and it was fine on 16E channels.
The other think is that SNR reporting(%) is very different between solo2 and DM500S. On Solo2 I have almost 40% decreased SNR and AGC also. I had DM500S for 3 years and didn't have any problem at all. Does anybody have any problem like this?

@abajrami: is just the same problem if you invert the inputs? If not, mean that you need RMA your box, if yes, as panelbas suggest you try another lnb and hope.
I've got 16E in both two tuners, so if you want to comparate some tp, free to ask.
Bye

I have the VU+ Solo2 had BH 1.7.9 20/12/2012 installed with fixed dish on A and motorised Usuals on B everything worked fine until I tried to load update 25/01/2013 then motor tuns to selected sat (checked with a Spiderbox) but no channel signals on VU+ Solo2, have swapped cables on boxes and twin LNB signals ok on Spiderbox, noticed if put motor cable on Spiderbox that I get signal on respective satellite ok with VU+ Solo2? updated files were ftp'd to /lib/modules/3.3.6-1.2/extra/ any help?

I think it's not a problem of drivers
or they're not well updated.
Check the configuration of the tuners.

Upload drivers agn.

toneburst is a 22kHz signal required to switch between low and high frequency of your LNB - you probably have diseqC switch. Try to use diseqC A/B simple configuration.

What did you exactly upload into /lib/modules/3.3.6-1.2/extra? Are you sure these files were for solo2?
Just try to do it again, my motor working OK after uploading drivers from TRUSTED source.
Have changed your channel list in the same time?

hi, i re downloaded from this site and re-flashed 1.7.9 on new usb, loaded new channel list from dcc, loaded updated drivers 25-01-2013 rebooted before each stage progressed, same problem exists but noticed if i use picture in pictre and select same tp on same satellite program shows, change to different tp and problem comes back. can u please help me setup setings for fixed dish on A and motorised on B so this doesn't happen, i'm getting tired of re-doing without success. please help?

it was already posted here...

first thing to do is to upload new satellites.xml into your box. Read this:
http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/new-source-to-build-your-satellites-xml-files.6510/

and follow this:

let's say that your fixed dish will be pointing hotbird (it could be any other - that's an example only)

tuner A settings: (menu > setup > service searching > tuner configuration > select tuner A > press OK)
then
configuration mode -> simple
mode -> single
satellite -> Eutelsat Hotbird 13 East
send diseqc -> no

tuner B settings (as the above but select tuner B)
then
configuration mode -> simple
mode -> positioner
enter your long and lat as it is in real (check it with dish pointer, just google it ;) )

these are tuners settings for 1x fixed dish and usals motor

Your question regarding PIP is a bit tricky with that configuration because it'll only work one way - channels on fixed dish must be selected first - then you're activating PIP, then watch whatever you want on your main screen (whilst channel from fixed dish is present as a PIP). Just remember that you need to wait till your dish change its position if you want to watch different satellites...

BTW what motor do you have?
