I can not check because I am using ready-list and I have no problems on 16E
Are you sure that the problem comes from the image??
I have not heard before.
But you can download a ready-made list from our image server
and check .

I'll check next time if I re-install image.

it is from the image - it shows eurobird 16a/w2 on 16e. However fresh satellites.xml sorts that out

Does anyone know if the DNLA/uPnP browser in Blackhole 1.7.9-3 plays certain MKV files? It seems to me it only sees the smaller MKV files under 3 gigabytes in size. I have loads of movies stored on an external HDD attached to my router and I use it as a NAS to stream to my Vu+Solo2 via DLNA. Is the fact it can't see certain MKV files due to some codec/audio compatibility issue? Or perhaps it's due to some file size issue, like the way FAT32 has a 4gig restriction (my HDD attached to my router is formatted to HFS+ Journaled). I would be grateful to hear any advice/help/information/input on this issue.... Just wanna know if it's possible to play my larger 720p and 1080p MKV files in the DLNA/uPnP browser.

Tuner A: loopthrough to tuner B

That means that you connect antenna on the B and not on the A connector.
It is a good configuration for PIP and recordings from different transponders.

Aha. That worked! Thanx a lot.

I think to wording in the tuner is a little misleading then. "Loop through to tuner B" sounds like the signal is being passed from Tuner A to Tuner B but I guess it's the other way around.

What is also a little surprising it that Tuner B did actually get some signal with my original configuration. I wonder how that is possible?

Oh well, it works, and that's what counts.

Thanx again :)

that's not a problem with tuner drivers mate
most of the time new driver capabilities are not visible for daily users
you did not post your dish configuration, signal strenght on other channels, etc., etc.
I do not have any problems with this frequency
and Matrix too

Hi there!

problems starts few days ago, ESPN HD, Sky Sports 3HD etc. My friends with the same receiver also have the same issue, I don't know maybe it is a sat problem, because he watching in different location also. Yesterday I reconfigure a tuner B and signal is 10 points better that on A. Location is Latvia Riga, signal approx. 35-41 on 12324 V, from another transpoder 80-90

Not an issue with the box, the image or the drivers.

SKY CHANNELS MOVED
A number of Sky channels were moved over the past few nights from Astra 2A/B to the Astra 1N pan European beam. Others appear to have been moved from Astra 2B to 2A. There are a number of reports of loss of channels in Scandinavia and the Canaries. Amongst the channels which have been affected are: Channel 5 HD, Dave HD, Watch HD, Gold Comedy Central HD, Pick TV, Pick TV+1, Sky News SD, Discovery HD, Sky Sports 3 HD, Sky Sports News HD, F1 HD, Animal Planet HD, Nat Geo HD, Eden HD, SyFy HD. ( to be updated ). Most viewers in western Europe will have noticed no change.
The reason for the move is unknown. The current speculation is that Astra 2B will be taken out of service or moved to 19º east.

I am getting my VU+ Solo 2 today and I am going to load Black Hole into the box, but I have a question. When I get it, should I imediately flash it and load the new drivers in or should I start it up on the original image and then flash it?

To be sure that it's all right, I advise you to test the box with the official image and then to install the BH image.

Thanks for a quick reply :)I have some other questions:
Should I load the newest driver? And should I just FTP it over to the folder in the tgz format or extract it before FTPing?
And on the USB stick, which contains the BH image, should the folder mapping be "/vuplus/solo2/imagefiles"?

I advise to upgrade the drivers.
To do it, download the file for Solo2 and expand them.
Then, via FTP override the files present in /lib/modules/3.3.6-1.2/extra
Finally, restart the Solo2.
You can find the last drivers here: http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/vu-drivers-update-2013-01-25.10765/

Yes, you have to copy the folder named "vuplus" in your usb stick FAT32 formatted.

Sorry for the bump on my own query guys but upon further investigation into my problems I found that within Media Player in Blackhole that with my DNLA mount the files were missing in DLNA/uPnP browser were visible. The problem is though, they were not showing up as MKV files, for some odd reason the DNLA client Djmount was mistaking my larger video files (not only MKV) for m3u music playlist files. Does anyone know of anyway to edit the extensions of file networked files within Blackhole 1.7.9-3? Is it possible to change the extensions from m3u to the respective correct video extension of Djmount can recognise and play the file?

Hi

I’m about to receive my Solo2 today and want to know whether you recommend a Clean BH Image or will a Backup image be OK? And what are the advantages between them?

Regards
