I have just formatted my fat32 usb on blackhole device manager, and after reboot it is no longer appear on device manager,
I took it out, and plugged in my window laptop, it became write protected, windows can not format it.
i think BH f***d it up for good

In the Run box, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter. When it opens see if the disk is listed and contains a partition. If it does, delete the partition. Then create a new partition on the disk and format it.

If Windows Disk Manager and Device Manager do not detect it then it is bunched. It Windows Disk Manager sees it as a foreign disk you can import it and then carry out the steps I listed in post #43

Hi I would be grateful if you could help, I have upgraded my genuine VU+ Duo to BH 2.0.2 Rev B which is great. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to mount my 1Tb Seagate Free Agent external USB hard drive. The drive has been used previously with an Enigima2 box and is formatted correctly. The device is showing up in "Hard Drive Settings" as in standby and unmounted but does not show in "Device Manager". Within the "Hard Drive Settings" menu the green button provides an "Acoustic" option which is preset to "128" but no option to wake or start the drive. I have also connected the drive to my PC and confirmed the drive is running using Seagate Manager. Can you please advise how to wake and mount the drive. Your advice would be gratefully appreciated, thanks, John.

To add to my previous message, I can also view the files stored on the drive through the "Scan Media" extension.

is it normal for internal harddisk to show not mapped in device manager after initialized using Harddisk manager in system ??? or i have to mount it as well using Device manager.
l have already 32 GB usb mounted with meobot and in 2 part. which media/usb and media/universe . Now l want to mount Extern HDD which 500 GB is. but Vu wont accept it. l have tried to formatted in Vu to EXT(2,3,4) stays on formatting hours.. Nothing happens.. How do l have to format my Extern HDD from samsung. Please help

You will have to mount the hdd and then map it.

At first, you have to give a power to HDD. Only USB power is not enough. Try external HDD power source, it will work. Format should be ext3.
l have made EXT3 with a program on PC, and mapped to HDD and restart now l see no HDD on my mount :??? but on system, l see it and it asks to format ? l am really confused. l have another HDD with power, tomorrow l will give a try again . Thanks for the action.

Problem with my 16GB flashdisk

I partition my flashdisk in three scores:
1 = 4000
2 = 4000
and I formatted ext4 ( MEOBOOT ) , formatting run normaly, but restarting my vu + it remains on Starting .... Why?
A second question is can I use the universe with this method of formatting?

Hello to all,
I have a problem on a vu + duo black hole 2.0.2.
We are unable to do a hard drive detected 3to.
First, we format the hard drive with the vu + duo and it ONLY created a partion +-800GB.
In years two, we use EaseUS Partition Master 9.2.2. under windows have created a GPT partition (GUID) and have formatted the hard drive to ext3.
Despite this the vu + duo do not always detected disk.
Are there any telnet command to the blackhole that can perform more precise formatting.
