Any ideas on support for sundtek dvb t c usb devices. I think it would be good to implement these in BH images because at the moment we have not any dvb c that works with the BH image. Or? Thanks in advance

At the moment sundtek has release a binary version of these drivers who run in userspace.
The actual implementation of USB tuners are in kernel space.

If you have a USB DVB-C tuner we can work togheter to support it (if it's possible of course).

I'm very unhappy to inform you that your new device has a combination of chip and tuner who haven't, at the moment, a suitable driver for Linux Operating System as reported here.

Thnx m8 for the info. I already have win nova T, but I wanted to test C tuners too. I never really did check if this device was Linux supported. I hope they do that...

I hope that your Terratec device will be supported in fast time but the problem is the tuner driver who is not avaibale. The chip-maker has not released it.

I can confirm that concercing Sundtek DVB-C/T Stick with VTi and Pli Image but haven't tested it on Black Hole.

I have sold this stick because there was no support for it on BH and due to the very high price of 89€ in Germany.

Just to compare prices in Germany:
A DVB-C Tuner Modul for DM 800/8000 costs about 35 €.
A DVB-C Tuner Modul for AZbox Elite/Premium costs about 30 €.

So a low-budget solution with limit 40€ should be the aim.

What requirements do you need to implement DVB-C Stick into the Image?

I need an user who have a USB DVB-C stick who can test possible drivers and make available a telnet/webif connection for me to make some debug tests inside the box.

I can confirm that Sundtek DVB-C usb-tuner works very good in BH image! The only thing that doesn't work is automatic scan in DVB-C. On DVB-T automatic scan works with no problem. I am willing to help with any test or telnet connection if @angelofsky wants!

I will try to make the implementation for BH images.

Hey Angelofsky1980,

Have you had a chance to look at making your own drivers for the Sundteck dvb-t-c stick. I have one installed in BH using their drivers, it works pretty well but I think their drivers are using more memory as it's runing in userspace.

Thanks for your help.
