Thanks Mick.. I downloaded it and extracted as described here. But when I turned on my box, nothing seems to happen. All what I can see is after the STARTING it displays the Vu+ Duo and on TV a timeglass is running ... how long it normally takes to update?

You need to ensure that the USB stick is formatted in FAT 32 and recognized by your receiver, some aren't.
Then download the correct Blackhole file, for your receiver, unzip it, and you should have 2 folders, vuplus and inside a second folder just called duo, providing your receiver is a duo, and not other model, like the solo2 or duo2.
You then download the vuplus folder onto your formatted USB stick
Power off Vu+ Duo with switch on the back
Insert USB Pen Drive into the USB socket on Vu+ Duo
Power on Vu+ Duo
Image should auto install from the usb stick
Look at the display on the receiver, it'll display when the update has finished.
Remove the USB Stick
Power off receiver.
Power on Receiver.

A bundle of thanks goes your way.. I did almost everything in the same order as you described, the only difference was, I had already downloaded a wrong file (for DUO2) - that was the issue. After using your link I have now downloaded the right file.
The upgrade is finished successfully and it asked me to remove the USB and reboot.
However when I did that, it come up with STARTING info on display - and nothing more... what is missing now? Thanks for you help

Yeah did it several times. Also disconnected the cables but no luck until......
a911 come up with this. It solved my problem. I had to update the bootloader first the flash once again and yes I am in
- now I am scanning my channels..A huge thanks to both of you - what a good and brilliant help - appreciated.

I'm on BH 2.1.0 and want to update to the latest version but before that I need some help.
I understand that if I want to have all my plugins and settings and channel lists again I will need to do Personal backup, just not sure HOW TO RESTORE the backup after update completed?

System will ask you, if you want to restore.
Thanks paolino, I asked because for some reason the last upgrade was a shamble where I end up setting up the box from scratch.
