Hi Folks!

Lots of smart TVs are Linux based right?
Any ways of getting smart TV apps to work on Vu+ boxes?

Particularly interested in subscribed IPTV services.

nunigala & Ev0 - I'd be grateful if you could answer the 1st part of my question, and patiently explain why the second part is not allowed. :notworthy:

i.e. Love my TH37PX80, no interest in a new TV till it breaks.
Both HDMI sockets in use however (Vu+ SE2 & Chromecast), & the last thing I want is another box to connect.
I would happily pay legit providers for content & some of them do say you can use a smart TV - hence my question

If you need to ban me & PM me; so be it
Although, the answer(s) might make a good sticky.........no? :thanks:

According to your question, it seems you are asking for IPTV payed servers and not IPTV SERVICES, and this is not legal and not allowed the discussion of such things all around this board.

Ex: Netflix is an IPTV service that you pay for having the service ( movies in your SmartTV or STB , this, is legal ).

IPTV Service subscriving an IPTV Server ( as they call, that allows the viewing of protected services, like cardsharing ) is not allowed, and it's illegal.

Ok, I think I understand. Let me then try to re-phrase the question:
I want to watch Russian TV (particularly childrens' eg. Multi, Karusel) legally in the UK, and ideally would like to do so via my Vu+ STB.
Any kosher recommendations for how to do so?

Currently have a fixed 80cm dish with LNBs for 13E, 19.2E, 23.5E & 28.2E, the wife won't tolerate me getting any bigger! :chair:

Still no way of doing this legally on my Vu+ STB?
