Vu+ has announced Uno 4K for "the most affordable UHD receiver " . That means the price should be lower then Solo4K ....
Have no idea where mr . "abdul hussain" has got information regarding 450 Euro price tag , I think Uno 4K will be cheaper .

thank you guys for comment and pictures about latest Anga 2016.
It s fine to see that vu+ is launching new model , but i do not see
that much significant difference between our solo4k and the new
Ultimo4k , except for the plug/play tuner, i would have expect some new
graphical card in order to have better result with transcoding, because it
is still the point that they have to increase.

But who knows, it is maybe something thay are workin on for the future.

sincerly

Specs suggest new Ultimo and Uno devices will only support 2K resolutions - I am a bit disappointed as will now have to wait until Duo2 4K comes!!

What I meant was the 4K resoultion means 4,096p

Whereas, the Vu boxes are only capable of only upto 2,160p
hope it helps ...
"
The term “4K” originally derives from the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI), a consortium of motion picture studios that standardized a spec for the production and digital projection of 4K content. In this case, 4K is 4,096 by 2,160, and is exactly four times the previous standard for digital editing and projection (2K, or 2,048 by 1,080). 4K refers to the fact that the horizontal pixel count (4,096) is roughly four thousand. The 4K standard is not just a resolution, either: It also defines how 4K content is encoded. A DCI 4K stream is compressed using JPEG2000, can have a bitrate of up to 250Mbps, and employs 12-bit 4:4:4 color depth. (See: How digital technology is reinventing cinema.)

Ultra High Definition, or UHD for short, is the next step up from what’s called full HD, the official name for the display resolution of 1,920 by 1,080. UHD quadruples that resolution to 3,840 by 2,160. It’s not the same as the 4K resolution made above — and yet almost every TV or monitor you see advertised as 4K is actually UHD. Sure, there are some panels out there that are 4,096 by 2,160, which adds up to an aspect ratio of 1.9:1. But the vast majority are 3,840 by 2,160, for a 1.78:1 aspect ratio."

You are mistaken

1280x720p = 720p HD
1920x1080p = 1080p FULL HD
3840x2160p = 2160p UHD aka 4K (DTH broadcasts and UHD blu-ray)
4096x2160p = 2160p True 4K (used in cinema's)

However as the Solo4K will downscale 4096x2160p to 3840x2160p, then I don't think you have much to worry about with the Ultimo 4K or Uno 4K.
