Hi guys,
I have duo2 and am running blackhole 2.1.3 .
I have just ordered dvb c tuner and am wondering if blachole will support this tuner .
Will it work ?
Could do with a guide .
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

Why are you running such an old version of Blackhole?
You don't really need a guide, all you need to do is check your cables.xml file, located in the etc folder, tuxbox sub folder, to see if your suppliers details are listed, using Filezilla.
If not add them and upload it back to your receiver, or download one already prepared.
Once the DVB-C tuner is fitted then set it up in the tuner configuration menu.
There are other threads, regarding this topic, on the forum, I quickly found this one:

Thanks for the reply and help , i am actually using 3.0.2 , i got that wrong , sorry.
Back to the Cable setup, i have been using satellite channel list in the past , so can i scan cable channels of the duo2 ? or do i have to find a cables.xml file?

Your receiver already has a cables.xml file, in tuxbox, along with terrestrial.xml, and satellites.xml.
Providing the cables.xml file already contains details, of your cable provider, you just insert the new tuner, select it in the menu, and start the scan.

just checked in tuxbox and your right there is a cable file.
What about tuner DVB C setup ?
IS it easy to setup, ive read it can be tricky

It should be the same as setting up your satellite tuner, the menu options are the same.
Report back after you've installed the tuner, set it up, and scanned in the channels.
If it doesn't scan in any channels you will need to check the cables.xml file.

I have never had access to cable, nor would I want it.
I assume cable channels are encrypted, as they are part of a subscription package, and it does cost the company money, to lay the cable, and fit it to your property, unlike terrestrial channels, which are mainly FTA, (Free To Air), and easier to receive.
It might be worth visiting your cable providers website, check what channels you can get, and are allowed to view.
