Fan for Solo4k

My Solo4k harddrive gets hot and makes the box freeze. Is there a cooling fan that would fit? I do not understand why they stopped using fans in the Vu+

I'd also recommend a "green" HDD, like WD green, that is good under this aspect (energy consumption and temperature) because it's got a variable range in RPM.

I had one HDD that worked fine at first glance
but when it comes to flash image.
I had to remove HDD and sometimes I hear weird sounds from HDD.
After replacing HDD all normal.

I have tried another one, it also freezes, the temp is around 55 celsius. I have read that ssd wears out faster?

I have no idea what they mean by 'faster', I'm using a 128 GB SSD with my Solo 4K since day one and it's been 2,5 years now, without a single issue.
You must try it to believe it - it's so fast as if it's always working but you never hear anything, and since there's no spinning mechanism in it, heat problems are out of question.

Well, I've been using SSDs for some years now in every computers I've got and in my Solo4k as well and I can tell you they also get hot. My suspect is that, if @reddiss changed the HDD and the system freezes the same, is not because of the HDD but is the MB responsible. Anyway, I don't think is impossible to add a fan to the box but I haven't tried that, yet.

I added an internal cooling fan to my DB 8000 many years ago, they had huge heat issues that slowed the system down. I ordered an external AC Infinity Aircom S6 fan system now, so will see if it helps.
