Accessibility in Blackhole images

Hello, we all know that BH is one of the best project for Vu+ boxes. So, developers, have you never consider to add accessibility features to your image? It could be a very great help to all visually impaired Vu+ users. For example, I have one friend with visual issues, he's very happy using his Duo2, but he can only watch TV and record/play some movies (very simple commands for that), but he always needs sighted friends for every little setting operation. Well, TV are not just TV (they are "smart" today), and satellite receiver are not only receiver. And, as you know, many TV set have "voice guide" options in operating system (LG, Samsung, Sony.... maybe others). So, why not adding this feature to Blackhole? What do you think? Thanks.

I can see the need and i agre with you, Accessibility would be nice to incorpurate. But the biggest problem is that Linux in general has almost no support for this
and when Linux distro like Enigma2 is stripped down often this functions also gets stripped of to make distro smaller.

So to be able and make Accessibility softwares there have to be a change in the core code and for Blackhole this means that Vu+ needs to add this in the OI 3.0 code
There is a speech to text function in Blackhole but i have never try it and i guess thats not what you are asking about? you are asking about voice control
like we have with smart tv systems.

I think and hope in the future this will come but as long as Vu+ and other comapanies must maintain support for old STBs with very little space and cpu power
this will not happen anytime soon.

But there is some Android STBs and they should have Accessibility as an option
This is my opinion of cause Team Blackhole can answer this question better then me but i think i got it quit close to why we want see Accessibility in any near future.

Yes Thomas67, solution of this problem is not simple, I know that. I'm looking for text to speech, not speech to text. In other hands, my goal would be having some voice synthesizer in the box that reads all menus and screens to make possible all receiver settings without vewing TV screen. As I said, you can find this feature in many last generation TV set, but also in many smartphones. In particular, Apple devices (iphone, ipad, but also Mac computers) have an advanced voice guide software called Voiceover from many years, now it begins to be available in Android phones too, and Microsoft Windows developers are implementing this function in Windows 10, they are not so advanced like iOS and MacOS. As I know, there are some screen readers for linux, too. But I do not know which distro and I do not know how options could be available (or not) for enigma2.
Where is speech to text option in Vu+ you mentioned? In which menu? Thanks.

Speech to text, as far as I know, is used for the new BT remotes and they can be used only with VU+ boxes equipped with BT.

OK, so speech to text is not related to this thread. It could be interesting to make some deep evaluation about accessibility issues, particularly by any strong linux developer (I'm absolutely not one of that). Thanks.
