More CI cards

own multiple CI modules from different providers. Freesat / UPC (DVB-S2 Thor) Digislovakia (DVB-S2), NejTV (DVB-C). and I want them in one VU, but there's not enough room for other CI modules. is there any way to use more CI modules without having to pull them out :(?
I wouldn't mind even more VU + receivers such as bedroom + living room. but any search here for linking two boxes is limited.

Unfortunately, there is no solution to several CI modules like with USB where we can connect an usb hub to a single usb port.
But if you have several Boxes you can use the CI models between your boxes in a cleaver way by using plugin RemoteChannelStreamConverter :)

I am probably on thin ice with the forum rules now so before i go any future i want to ask @nunigaia if use of this plugin break any forum rules.
If not then i will explain how to setup a shared CI module between your Vu+ STBs in your home, No need for anything illegally only plugin RemoteStreamChannelConverter :)

The usage of RemoteChannelStreamConverter is allowed and also talinking about it.
I'm using that plugin too to see TVSat channels streamed from my living room Vu+ (where is inserted my CI module) to kitchen Vu+ when I've only wireless connection and nothing more.

So do I also and if you have multiple STBs you can create and share a single channel list among your STBs with the corresponding CI module and get all the same channels on all recivers.
Like my Uno4Kse have only one slot so i have one module in that STB and a second one in my Solo2 and use a shared Channel list and get all my channels on both STBs :)

To append more information, instead using of Blackhole, if you are using Open BlackHole image 4.2, instead of:

  • Remote Channel Stream Converter ( System plugin )
you might use:
  • Fallback configuration ( also a System Plugin embedded on image ).
Please note, that for Remote Channel Stream Converter or Fallback configuration, you must have free tuners ( server side ). Also, you can connect a BOX ( client/server ) running BlackHole and the other ( server/client ) running Open BlackHole or vice-versa :).

It seems that this possibility, to stream from one box to the other is little used.
The results are remarkably good without cables.
I use Duo 4k as a server and zero 4k as a client.
Even the UHD stream works well under the condition that you have a good network.
The HD stream is perfect and picture quality, even with Zero 4k over USB WIFI
I usually put the server box in standby.
then I can watch what I want and change channels and satellites.

In German language on YouTube (English I did not find)
but pictures are more understandable

Yes its a marveless way of taking your TV show with you from one room to another or watch several at the same time.
And as MX is pointing out the stream quality is really good if you have a stable home network.

I use my powernet with adapters to send my home network around the house.
I am also lucky so Swedish and Norwegian Sat provider offers CI module with multichannels up to 4 at one time :)

But its a suprise that this nice plugin is so little know about. Only need Sat/Cable to one STB and all the others only need home network connection :)

But you can use both OBH and BH image with this plugin. In OBH you have to download plugin from Blackhole Feeds Plugin menu and you find under Extension

At Open BlackHole you don´t need to download nothing from Blackhole feeds. You just need to configure at the client side the server you are connected to. :)
Use the same channel list on the client ( you are using on the server and you are done ).

Yes ...

Examples:

1) Server BlackHole

Client Open BlackHole > Fallback Tuner Configuration

2) Server Open BlackHole

Client BlackHole > Remote Channel Stream Converter

3) Server BlackHole

Client BlackHole > Remote Channel Stream Converter

4) Server Open BlackHole

Client Open BlackHole > Fallback Tuner Configuration

Is there any chance also to use a receiver connected to a fixed IP? I tried, but it seems not possible out of a local network.

You can be sure that it is possible ... you have a good upload and you can use Falback Tuner outside your house. When I go on holiday I take a Zero 4K where I visualize everything connected to my Uno 4K SE that stays at home. I have about 100MB of upload, which is enough, just change the ports on the router for greater security.

If the IP is fixed, and set this, if it is dynamic, hostname ...

???

I use fixed ip for server and client
Sorry, I realised I was not clear enough ;) I meant if it's possible to connect outside the LAN, by connecting over the Internet to a VU+, as my Internet connection has got a fixed IP thanks to a FritzBox.

Unfortunately, to be precise, I'd need to connect by a FritzBox address: it works flawlessly to stream over the Internet by OWIF, but FallBack client configuration seems working only by an IP or a domain.
By domain I suppose it means a VPN, not an http address (the one provided by the FritzBox). I tried the same but without success.
If so, it's a pity that this system plugin does not include the chance of using any http address.

Address FritzBox? VPN? Configure the ports on the router and:

http: // hostname: port

OBH in the client box is the best option. Then simply disable the tuner (s) on this. Configure the new network.

Do you know what FritzBox router do? They provide you with an address that works like a static IP.
For instance, you have an address like
http://abcdefghi123.myfritz.net
As I clearly wrote, this perfectly works for the streaming outside my LAN, over the Internet using the port I set. Imagine the port is 12345, I can have access to OpenWebIf to stream by
http://abcdefghi123.myfritz.net:12345

So I tried to set this as the URL client side, exactly as you show in your picture, but it didn't work. If I'm not wrong, nothing has to be done server side, right? Only client side, if I'm not wrong.

But, I repeat, I'm talking about using fallback over the Internet, not within a LAN.

Yes I have a FritzBox router, although I am not using it, but it has worked for a long time.

By chance now I even have a doubt: the Uno 4K If served always based on OBH, I do not know how it will be using BH. I'll test using BH. A customer box has always been on OBH.

Yes I am talking about the Falback Tuner outside the home network.

If you access OpenWebif outside the home network, it is well configured ...

I will test taking the box server with BH and then say something.

I think you are wrong, probably ... look at "customise" panel under system menu, maybe you´ll get the answer :)
