You have not the option if you have not a recognized device connected.
In other words the option appears only when you have a valid device.

Thanks for answer shiro, there is somehow logic but still kinda strange... i have tested 4 different usb dongles and no one is valid on uno4k.
And all 4 are recognized by a vu zero...
There is not a driver problem ?

Not on this box... i'm 90% that will work or i will have the possibility to install it from extensions/drivers
I love OBH but i want BH for the FCC function

Cheers

First of all i can see your frustration in the language you use and its not a good way to get help so please take a deep breath before posting ;)

I have the same Vu+ Uno4Kse and the same dongle works just fine for me so therfore we have to look at how you are doing this.

I assume that you have done a full reboot after attaching the Device so BH can recognize and load the device?

Second the device dont like to be in a USB hub so if its there change place and put into USB port direct and do full reboot.

Do you have other usb devices like tuners and stuff remove and do full reboot and then attache and reboot again to setup the device
when done attache other devices back.

And in the end it can be a corrupt image because of many failed attempts so a fresh installed image from scratch can be a good way to start.
This can be done in OpenMutliboot first to just test before reflashing the box.

Ok i will follow up your tip :p

Yes: fully rebooted + shutdown, have only the usb dongle on the usb ports, tried both usb ports…

I will flash OBH to check it, i will search to see if i have a spare hdd to play with OMB

I will keep you updated

To be sure: do you have the same box on BH latest + VU+ wifi 600 dongle ?

Thanks

I have the Vu+ Uno4Kse with the Vu+ wifi dongle but mine is 300 not 600 but as long as its the original you have and not any china copy it should work just fine.

And for OMB its better to use an USB stick since a HDD will spinn all the time if you install OMB there and create lots of not needed heat ;)

Update:

Have installed OBH on OMB, pluged in the wifi dongle -> was not recognized right away, have installed from extensions/drivers rtl8821AU (there is a typo) in fact is rtl8812AU and works like a charm
As i have stated: there is a driver missing on the image and not found on the net how to install it
I Don't want to use OBH as is not as fast as BH :(

Anyone can point me how to extract the driver from OBH and install it on BH ?

Cheers

There is a device that does not require drivers:

Vonets

There are several models and prices, the most basic cost less than a wifi pen. This one I put is one of the most "advanced".

@p.rodrigues
You have put the link to the site... i have browsed and not find something suitable for VU+
Witch one are you using and from where to buy (have found some of there products on Aliexp)

I put a link that was intended to inform the existence of this device ... this type of device is not addressed to Vu boxes or any other type of equipment that requires a network connection. That is, as I wrote, drivers are not needed as it turns the reception of wifi signal into an RJ45 network output. The box will start receiving network via RJ45 input ... the power can be done through a box USB port or using an external source.

Cables can be a "disease"! But if they are hidden and don't trip over them, they are the best for a network... And the drivers? Aren't they also a "disease"?

I have practically everything connected by network cable, 4 Vu +, 1DM, 1 WeTek, 2 Smartv, 1 AP, printer, PS4...

There are the Powerline and here is just a cable that will not measure more than 50cm...
