hey pals
why 4:2:2 video formats just got sound(audio) and there is not any video playing in my VU+ SOLO 4K ?
is it a real big and unsolved problem ?
why i can not find any codec and any player solving this format?
is there VLC PLAYER ipk with the newest video codecs for solo 4k that could run and play these formats?
can any of the masters and developers UPDATE CODECS of the images in new release?
does it need A REAL BIG DRIVER UPDATE?
whats the problem all in all?

It requires an expensive license, to play 4:2:2 formats, and only one receiver, to my knowledge, bothered to pay for it, and that didn't last too long.

The only thing you can do, is run it through your PC, using the VLC player, to view 4:2:2 transmissions.

The only satellite receiver, that I know bothered with 4:2:2, was the AZ Box.
The main use of 4:2:2 used to be for feeds, especially of live sporting events, and somebody mentioned the cost, of the license, a long time ago, and it just wasn't worth it, and I doubt it will ever be financially viable, especially as most satellite viewers, in the UK, and probably round the world, only know their own satellite provider, like Sky UK, who provide their dishes, and receivers, which aren't much good for anything else.

There are a few videos, on youtube, which show various 4:2:2 feeds, and how to view them.
