Vu+ Turbo SE not found in Black Hole 3.0.8

Weird, i'm told that the Vu+ Turbo C/T2 hybrid tuner is suppose to be supported by Black Hole, but it seems like that the SE model that every one are selling now obviously lacks support, because it can't be found in Black Hole 3.0.8 on my Uno 4K equipped with a DVB-S2 FBC tuner.

I have tried hooking the Turbo SE up on the back and on the side of the box and even tried completely shutting the Vu+ Uno 4K down using the power switch on the backside of the box, but still no luck.
In the Kernel Modules Manager, everything is even also set to Yes.

The Vu+ Turbo SE USB tuner just can't be found, even though its mentioned by Vu+ them selves that its suppose to be fully supported by all their Vu+ boxes.
So for me when Vu+ them selves tells its supported by all their boxes, then its obviously Black Hole 3.0.8 who lacks the support for the Vu+ Turbo SE C/T2 hybrid USB tuner.

Is it the case that the support for the SE tuner has been added to Black Hole 3.0.9, or is this something that yet has to come, now that i have made aware of the newer SE tuner issue?

Try 3.0.9

We don't have the tuner, so we don't know for sure if it works, but as Vu+ only added support for this tuner 2 weeks ago, it won't be supported by an image that is 18+ months old.

Thanks for the respond.

I also tried googling the web up and down about the newer SE tuner and the support problem with 3rd party images looks like to be widely spread, because on another Vu+ support forum i found (a german one), there the latest respond about support issues is from Monday and that was about the latest VTi.
So i don't think that the 3.0.9 of Black Hole will help either (too old as well), so thats obviously something reserved for a possible 3.1.0 version instead.

So for now it looks like that there is nothing to do but wait until the support is added in a new version of Black Hole, when you have the new SE model of the Turbo tuner.

BH 3.0.9 was updated this week, Vu+ have refused to send us any samples of the Turbo SE tuner and nobody in the team will be buying one as we have no use for it, other than for testing purposes.

Mine is not hooked up to the internet if thats the way you could get the latest update.
I'm limited to the 3.0.9.C from July 2019, unless a image for the Uno 4K of it could be downloaded in the forum (3.0.9.D)

Maybe check the downloads section ;)

Ah, so thats where it was hiding (an N version), i just read one of your update reports in the International Support area, which spoke about C.
Thanks, i will test the N update when i get the time to see if it works (hopefully).

3.0.9.N also no support, so i have chosen to let the Black Hole run on loaned time, because it will be switched to an image from some one else, if it turns out that they choose to add the support for the new vu+ Turbo SE tuner.

Do you already have the N version? Is it flash or OMB?

Ok well thank you for letting us know that it doesn't work.

As said Vu+ have refused to send us any samples, so nothing we can do to add support i'm afraid.

Yes, that was the one i found in the Black Hole Images Download section. Used that one to fully flash my Uno 4K, considering how old the other version was i had on it.

But shame it does not pick up the new SE tuner from Vu+, because the original image from Vu+ is out of the question due to the lack of USB recording.
Sad its obviously not possible to pull something like the original image from Vu+ appart and then there locate the support they have added for both of their own Turbo tuners and then just copy that to another image, would be neat if you just could do that :)

Sadly no, its not hooked up to the router i have, which entirely is owned by my provider.
Its also locked from messing around with the settings in it due to security reasons.

Sorry, I can't understand this.
OK: I understand, in case, that you cannot enter "your" router not to mess with it. But you don't have to change any of its settings! You simply need to connect to it the devices you own and have them, this way, connected to the Internet and this means they'll become part of the same network!
This way you'll have access to your VU+, for instance, by an FTP client like Filezilla or similar and you'll be able to give commands to it by Telnet/SSH.
What kind of router is one that does not "route" any Internet connection??? This is what the word router means: distributing an Internet connection to the devices you connect to it.
Because, in this case, what's this router used and useful for? Which devices are already using its Internet connection?
