Vu+ Uno 4K positioner setup

I have a problem setting up Uno 4K. I have a vu+ solo 4k receiver which is working great with my antenna, the settings on the solo are simple with entering latitude and longitude. When I plug in the UNO 4k on my same antenna and entering the same lat and long info, pressing go to 0, the receiver successfully finds the satellite of the channel selected. The problem starts when i select a channel from a different sat, the box is not moving the dish. When I do the same again with going to 0 and selecting the different sat it works again, but again it wont go to the first satellite.

Seems that I am missing something.

Thank you very much for any help that I can get

maybe I'll tell you bullshit but are you sure you have made the tuner setting correctly? The problem seems to me to come from there

sorry if I insist but the first two data
simple
positioner
did you put them well?
No problem at all, thanks for trying to help me.

Yes I did put them correctly, I have copied them from the receiver that is working.

It seems that it is finding only one satellite and not the others.

I am thinking to copy the satellite.xml file from my working box to the one that is not workig. Maybe this will help, what do you think?

what if you try to install a setting, for example that of whannibal, to download from its website and put in the box with deambox edit?

I'm very against every plugins for autosettings, because they alter also system files and are not just a passive list of channels.
That said, I understand if some users need them in case of a motorized system, where a scanning for channels is much longer.
The fact is that, motorized dish or not, I don't understand why many users conceive only the complete scan each time: I do that very occasionally and only if I really have nothing else to do.
Otherwise I consult the websites with the sat news about new channels and, if some interests to me, I perform only a manual search for those transponders I need. And this takes only 5 seconds...
You know, I've never liked drugs: I want to be the owner of my system.

Instead, please, tell us if copying the satellites.xml from the Solo4K solved the problem: you haven't given us this feedback, and feedbacks are important for the whole community.

Obviously, if in the mean time you have already installed that autosetting plugin, you need to re-copy that file. But I suspect it will also affect other system files...

Thanks for the info and feedback.

I haven't had the time to try, but will do later today, first with copying the sat.xml file then will escalate to the other option.

I will give you feedback if I resolve this issue.

victim.
whi???
no dear alexwillmac
I didn't mean to install an autosetting but simply to download the pre-compiled setting of your interest from the whannibal website and transfer it to the deco with dremboxedit
we already talked about it I used plughin autosetting first, and I had no problems, then on your advice I moved on to transfer to the compiled deco setting
and believe me for someone who, like me who has a motorized system, thinks of creating the channel list by scanning all the satellites, then arranging them by creating favorites and so on, is something to get out of your mind
ergo use the settings already made that problems do not give

I have 2 decoders
a vusolo4k
and a very old vuduo
the LNB has 2 descents,
the first passing from the positioner goes to the solo 4k which acts as master
the second goes directly to the duo and clearly sees the satellite that I have selected only 4k
I tried reversing the two descents and making the duo work as a master and in both cases I didn't notice any problems in positioner management
clearly the tuners are set exactly the same way
in both boxes I installed the motor + digital terrestrial setting Milan 23 July 2020 and ..... zero problems ...

Finally I have found the solution

It wasn't the satellite.xml file after all.

The problem was suprisingly with Tuner B, because I hade only one cable going into Tuner A (for the antenna), I had to disable the Tuner B completely in order to get all satellites and motor movement. After that the onlt thing left was to lock on satellite.

So to conclude, If you have only one motor and antenna, disable Tuner B completely (putting same as Tuner A caused the problem) and then just lock on every satellite (Astra, Hotbird etc).

To be clear this is for the Usals settings.

Thanks for the support.

I'm glad you solved the problem.
Very probabilmante with a 2 outputs LNB as I have of which one active one that drives the positioner and one passive you would not have had any problem.

Again I have a problem with one specific satellitte Bulgariasat. For the life of me I cannot figure this out.

On my Solo 4K which is working fine, I can find this sat with mt dish with the same lat and long info. When I put this in the Uno4K (same lat and lon, same dish) I cannot get a lock on Bulgariasat.

I have already copy every file from etc/enigma2 and tuxbox from one box to another byt the problem remains.

Please help because the problem seems to be on the software side.

Thanks

Honestly, if there is a way to copy my soo4k bix and past it to my uno4k, I would do it. At the end, I want the same configuration in the two boxes

I may be threadbare, but have you tried to install a whannibal setting? It takes a moment and everything is ready there ....
I have been using them on the VuDuo since 2009 when I purchased it and since 2016 on the VuSolo4k
