Did it happen after installing any plugin?
I have already installed many plugins including 'basic ftp', done multiple satellite searches but was trying to restore it to factory settings so i could re-search channels on astra. That was it. It is in constant loop when i start it. I have tried everything to no avail. Flash with usb while pressing ch-, no response, Tried the serial data cable and the required software, no response. I was thinking of opening the box with the view of changing the hard drive if it is possible.

I did as you said in your log. flashed with blackhole 1.7 but still go into the loop with green screen and the rotating vix at top left.

No i cannot connect with ftp. i suppose the crash log is the one generated in notepad when the system fails to boot. if it is, can i cut and paste it here? if i can then look at a911 thread

The problem should be this.
resolve: -> /etc/enigma2/lamedbresolve: -> /etc/enigma2/lamedb
---- saving lame channel db
FATAL: couldn't save lame channel db!

Do you have free space on flash.
Where did you put picons? do you have a usb stick mounted?

I think if you flash a new img and don't restore personal settings your problem could be solved.

Free space on flash? Do you mean a blank stick? I am lost.

I tried to flash it with blackhole 1.7 but it still go to the green looping state. I am very disappointed with this vu+ box. It is very unstable and price is steep. I have a starview hd combo and i have done everything to it and its still standing, no crash nothing. I get a vu+ uno and tried to restore it to factory setting and boom its gone

Are you sure you reinstalled the image ??
Try another USB stick and check once again the whole procedure.
The biggest mistake that many make is to install everything, before they learn to handle the box and images.
Install a clean image .

Yes, i agree with MX, it is quite impossible having green screen loop with a clean img.
If it is so your box could have problems.
But before saying anything try to install a clean img with no usk stick or anything else connected and see what happens

When buy a Linux receiver, what do you expect? Must do some readings about it to know how to use it right. "Flash" is memory inside receiver, where is image kept. Probably you overfill it with many plugins? When you have blinking VIX logo, you has not flashed your box and do something wrong. And about stability, you absolutely dont know what you say. I have UNO about one year and have 3 greenscreen made by my own mistakes, so stability of this box is absolutely super (with corresponding software e.g. Black Hole images). Now i wait on dual tuner and will be happiest UNO user :) (sorry for my english, i primarilly learn russian).

OK and what is your point? Do you have any idea about how to fix it or you are only telling me what the problem is. If i have overfilled the box with plugins, how do i fix it.

well you have had 3 green screens in a year and you think the receiver has superior stability. well i will disagree with that. a robust system does not crash willy - nilly because you made a mistake. provisions should be made to counter such mistakes and if a receiver cant handle that number of plugins, why made them available in the first place?

Completely wrong thinking.

the most expensive OS software does not support Overcharged and badly configured system.

I gave you the idea to re-install image
because with such filled image is difficult to know where is the problem.
Install one at a time and test
pay attention to the size of the flash / memory

Warning
The tone with which you continued the whole discussion, I not like.
People have tried to help and show you mistakes .
If you continue in this way I will close the topic.
