Hi Guys,

I am really new to this to please be kind. I have the above box with image. I updated to latest image, thinking epg would be easy and regular/automatic. However, still the same problem. regularly channel list is empty, sometimes i do a manual download, sometimes it works most of the time it doesn't. Same with open TV cross epg.

Is there a way of making this working on first attempt, or automatically?

is there anything i can do to configure it for above.

it's working amazingly mate
but
can you write down what is your configuration for epg? And what do you use for it - bh epg, cross epg or any other?
There is many other question to ask but give me a chance and answer the above please

Hello mate, thanks for your reply.

I normally press the blue button, then red for epg, then select sky uk
Then yellow to download.

When this doesn't work, I try the cross epg on open tv.


The URL listed there is the same mentioned in the forums.

Let me what exact info you need and I'll dig it out.

Hi mate, thanks for this info. I followed it but in cross epg configuration, it won't allow me to Change the storage device. It's internal flash (unsuggested). I tied going left/right but nothing would change here.

Also I have 2tb hdd I installed internally, can I not use that instead of USB?
How do I make sure that the hdd is not In Sleep mode

if you cannot change your storage device it means that your usb or hdd are not mounted. Mount them first using blue > blue > device manager.
HDD stand by mode you can disable using menu > setup > hard disc setup, but IMHO I wouldn't use hdd as your drive must be on all the time when your vu is on. Use USB stick, it's much better solution.

I use 16GB usb stick, with two partition on it - one for usual storage (epg - that's large file as I use motor settings with my vu; timeshift, picons, meoboot) and 2nd for universe. And guess what - I'm running out of space now.
If you have a chance just get biggest you can find - these sticks are not expensive any more.
I have 4 GB stick too, just for flashing new images. And 320GB hdd used for recordings only.
And believe me - if you will buy small usb stick after some time you will find that wasn't good decision.

Thanks for you reply guys. What are plug in skins and and universe used for?
I can see there are lots of functions with this box, but not entirely sure are all these are used and for what?

skin is your user interface simply saying and universe...well, that's real matrix m8
you can use it for ... everything :) what you want (nearly - because it's not working with my wife :p nor yours :p)
just check 'blackhole how to' and you'll understand everything

And when you will be install image you see smoll torturial who help you setup image.

I have a Solo 2, but I use the built in EPG(CrossEPG?) and Cool TV Guide, and I am really satisfied, as I have two EPGs, if one of them isn't showing info the other one does.
