So I'm failing the rtl8188 driver installation that looks missing on my obh 0.6 install

can you help?

Thank you

@bogdanm my obh 0.6 is heavily personalized with drivers, plugins, and configurations and on the top of that is making me happy due to its stability. I wasn't feeling the urge to update, but now if I run opkg upgrade, the kernel is updated and the image is broken. I would like to fix this, but while i try to install rtl8188eu wifi drivers I got a dependency error and I cannot run the opkg upgrade && update...... any help?
I have commented the feed address that was failing to update, but that's look not enough....

You can do two things:
  • Install the lastest OpenBlackHole version 1.0 from our board. Update it online or via telnet after installation until you get the lastest revision 1.0.026.
  • Or reinstall a no more supported image OpenBlackHole 0.6 ( the version you have installed on your STB ).

thank you for your time and don't get me wrong.
But answer cannot always be "do a fresh install"....

1) Try first:

by telnet run the following commands

Code:
opg update && opkg upgrade

killall -9 enigma2

and retry the installation of the driver rlt8188eu ( i think )

or

2) You can allways reinstall the image Open BlackHole 06, by using OpenMultiboot ... and copy the files that contains the feeds sources.

by copying the files from:

Code:
/etc/opkg

to the same folder of your currently Open BlackHole 06 running image.

Note: You have strange feeds on your STB ... the address of the feeds ... never has looked as:

Code:
http://linux-box.es/feed/Packages.gz

WE ALL have and had heavily personalised images! But if you use any softwares named 0.x, what do you think you are using? The ultimate version of it?
These are not common STBs and they are not crystallized: they are alive because their images are alive. You have two alternatives: stay where you are forever or exit your lair and go exploring the new worlds.
If you want to use these amazing objects, you must learn how to quickly get organized to re-tailor them as you are accustomed to be with software tools like Filezilla (and their bookmarks, otherwise FZ is 1% useful than it might be) and the sort.
