Hi guy, can you help?
I buy a Technotrend TT CT2-4400 usb tuner

linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TechnoTrend_TT-TVStick_CT_4400

I find firmware from the link below and place the file in the /lib/firmware directory but nothing happens
My Vu+ Duo² with (dual dvb-s + 1 dvb-c) not recognize it. Only 3 tuners recognized not 4.

Can you help please?

Your device is not yet supported.

Hi angelo,
thank you for your reply
It's very strange that this device is not supported even if we can find driver on the linux portal linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TechnoTrend_TT-TVStick_CT2-4400
My Vu+ duo detect the device in the line

in the folder /lib/firmware but nothing happends

What I can do?

Thank you

Hello , this is the procedure I took from the Technotrend site on How to install CT2-4400 driver for Linux system with Kernel 3.5 up to 3.16.
I'm little knowledges in linux. My question is can I do that directly in the VU+ terminal ?

This is the procedure:

Linux driver installation
TT-TVStick CT2-4400TT-budget® CT2-4500 CI und
TT-connect® CT2-4650 CI
Driver tested for Linux kernel 3.5.x to 3.16.x

Make sure you're „root“ user!
1. Copy „media_build-bst-14-140807.tar.gz“ into root directory - for example, flash
drive:
# cp /mnt/media_build-bst-14-140807.tar.gz /root
2. Change into root directory, extract, build and install the driver
# gzip -dc media_build-bst-14-140807.tar.gz
# cd media_build-tt
3. Check and choose one of the target systems, run ‘uname –a‘ to get OS information:
# ./v4l/build_x86.sh if build for 32bit system OS.
# ./v4l/build_dvbc_x86.sh if build for 32bit system OS to support DVB-C.
# ./v4l/build_x64.sh if build for 64bit system OS.
# ./v4lbuild_dvbc_x64.sh if build for 64bit system OS to support DVB-C.
4. Compile the source code, install the driver and reboot the computer:
# make
# make install
# shutdown -r now
5. Verify if the installation is successful or not:
# ls /dev/dvb
If the adaptor0 is list here so the driver is installed proberly.
6. When all steps are sucessfully and there isn‘t any error, you could run:
# dmesg | grep frontend
Now the driver for TT-TVStick CT2-4400, TT-budget CT2-4500 CI or
TT-connect CT2-4650 CI is loaded and the device is successfully recognized by the
kernel. You could use the product with any DVB Linux application.

Thank you

Thank you

It's useless for Vu+ boxes that uses MIPS architecture and not x86 or x64.
Your device will be supported shortly but I haven't a date for that.

Ok Angelo, thank for your support.
regarding my box Vu+ duo2 with BH 2.0.9 what usb DVB-C/T tuner can I use with full support?

thank you

There are indeed very few DVB-C usb tuners on the market, particularly if you also need DVB-T2 (and not only DVB-T).
And about the BH compatibility only the BH Team can help you.

I personally own the recent PCTV (ex Hauppauge) DVB-T2/T/C TripleStick 292e, but unfortunately it's not yet compatible with BH and all the other Enigma2 images.
81krgw-Is4L._SY450_.jpg
If you dont't need DVB-T2, for example you could ask for compatibility information about the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-930C:
Code:
http://www.hauppauge.com.sg/site/products/data_hvr930chd.html

You'll find a lot more choiches if you look for DVB-T/T2 only usb tuners (without DVB-C).

Thank you,
this is the problem , Find a usb tuner with dvb-c fully supported in the Vu+.

Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-930C is supported ?

Eragon

Vu+ User+++
There is also the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1975:
Code:
http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/products/data_hvr1900.html

But only the BH Team can tell you if a DVB-C tuner is compatible, unfortunately I can't .

Don't make the same mistake I made in the past!
I bought almost 10 usb DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 tuners to finally find the 3 that I needed, moreover tuners also able to work reliably and not only simply recognized by the receiver: this problem is to be considered too when choosing a usb tuner...

Dont't waste your money, these dongles are sometimes expensive... ask before buying!:)
