I have followed the instructions provided and its always loading the flash, it never prompts to chose the other images eventhough I have enabled the menu to show from the settings....

Afaik, it´s not working the Open Multiboot Menu ( for choosing another image to boot ), you must acess the plugin Open Multiboot in plugins, and you must choose there the image you intend to boot ( flash or a image installed in Multiboot ).

I´ve reported yet this issue, that must be fixed in a next release.

best regards

I have tried that as well, but it always boots from the flash.... even if you chose to boot the next time in another image.... always flash loading...

Have you unpacked the image before, or are you using Open Multiboot unpacked images for ex: Open Blackhole in Flash ... and other images in Open Multiboot ).

Note: You must unpack with Blackhole 3.0.1 in flash ... to work, you can´t mix Open Multiboot unpacked images.

I have blackhole 3.0.1 in flash, and I am loading openvix in openmultiboot, it installs, and I see it in the list of images, but when I am select it for the next boot, it always boots back in flash, did I answer you?

btw it was working perfectly with BH 2.1.7, I know how openmultiboot works... I am not a beginner... unless there is an extra step to do in BH 3.0.1, because I am doing the same as I used to do with BH2.1.7

As you can see on my shots I have installed without problems on solo2 .
BH 3.0.1 C updated online.
I think the problem is in USB sticks.Try different USB stick.
I have use older USB stick and connected to the front USB connector,
I do not know whether it has an effect.
When I find time I'll test with a new 16Gb USB stick.

the USB stick I am using is not a new one, its an 8GB lenovo one, and its the same one I was using with BH2.1.7... its plugged in the front panel. Anyway I will try with another USB stick and see, thanks.

Again,

I do not know the real reason
but OpenMultiboot works with my solo2 with and without Boot Menu.
Tested with last Vti and last OpenAtv OE3 images.

So on topic of CI+ CAM (w/ high bitrate support) crashing Enigma without any info about the crash in the log...

I thoroughly tested the following VU+ original experimental firmwares:
vuplus-image-vusolo2-20151124174405_usb.zip
vuplus-image-vusolo2-20151201174108_usb.zip
vuplus-image-vusolo2-20151203171257_usb.zip
vuplus-image-vusolo2-20151208180110_usb.zip

All these firmwares work correctly with my CI+ CAM, no crashing whatsoever.

I also tested the following BH firmwares:
BH 2.1.4
BH 2.1.7
BH 3.0.1c (with and without the latest online update)

Only BH 2.1.4 works correctly, no crashes/reboots.

Then I tried BH 3.0.1c with the latest original VU+ /lib/firmware and /lib/modules files, Enigma still crashing every minute or so...
And in the end I installed BH 2.1.7 combined with /lib/firmware and /lib/modules files supplied by Gimitryci (thank you) in this thread, finally no crashing related to CI+ CAM.
I fully understand you don't support doing that but that is the only way to make it work.

Just one final remark...
On otherwise crashing BH 2.1.7 and BH 3.0.1c if I tune to a channel and then turn the receiver off and on via the remote, there will be no crashing.
Only if I tune to another channel (without turning the receiver off and on) Enigma will crash in about a minute following the channel change.

If someone could do somehing about that issue I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thx.

Very surprised with this problem not to be yet solved. The logs have been sent to vu website and on here been so many complaints about it and still not solved. Plz bh team do something about it. Thank you

Official Vu+ images supports ONLY CI modules. No CI+ support.
I think your CI CAM module works correctly as CI module but when the CI+ subsystem is invoked, something is missing.
For this kind of issues, you can try to contact Vu+ (www.vuplus.com).

been trying this latest image for vu+ called 3.0.1C
but i´m going back to ver 2.1.6, as the issues with image is mindblowing to me.

1.my hdd is mounted and i can watch movies in mediaplayer that i ftp over to the hdd. but when i press record a tv channel on rcu i get,,no hdd found or not mounted.
2. still have issue with streaming,,i have a bouqet with iptv channels and they only work for about 30 seconds.
3. when i try to play tv shows or movies in xbmc ,they dont load only gives me the timeglass and working..nothing happens.

i tried the first image 3.0 when it came out and the same issue,,so i loaded 2.1.6 and all was working,, thought the issues where solved in later updates,,but not for me.
Btw: i did the online update aswell
