Hello,

I added some IPTV streams to my VU+ UNO receiver and noticed that there would appear some pixeling every once in a while. While the streams work fluently without any problems on my laptop using VLC. So, I decided to update my VU+ UNO receiver to this version as I was still using version 2.1.7. I wanted to see if the IPTV streams would work smoother with this version. I remember updating to version 3.xx when it just came out, somewhere in November 2015. But back then, I got lots of crashes (green screens) after the update, so I was forced to downgrade again for stability.

I was hoping for the crashes to be fixed by now, but it turns out that the same problems happened over again nearly two years later.

My STB would crash when:

- rebooting
- pressing the blue button (sometimes)
- trying to mount an USB drive

I could live with it, since I don't usually reboot the receiver or mount USBs often. But when I tried to install an add-on, an error would appear telling me that I have not enough space left on my flash. (Apparently, the new image is larger than the one I had previously) So I prepared my USB for extra storage space using "Expand your universe". I followed every step from this thread and ended up in another green screen.

After losing nearly 2 hours of trying to fix the problems, I gave up and restored the full backup that I've made before updating.

Also, this was the last time that I've attempted to upgrade to Black Hole 3.xx.

I like the Black Hole image and appreciate all the hard work on it, but for the near future, I'll have to search for something else to stay up to date.

With a box such as the Uno, because it has a small flash size, it is recommended to run BH in OpenMultiBoot, this means you put a smaller image in flash, and then run BH from your usb stick or hdd (usb is recommended), then your flash is as large as your usb stick (so if you use 8gb stick, you can have 8gb flash space to use), then you should have no more issues.

If using OpenMultiboot then you have the option to run several different images too, without having to reflash your box everytime.
