You need to convert the .srt file to utf-8, to do that download notepad++ and open the subtitle file then go to encoding in notepad++ and click the encode to utf-8, save the file and put it in the VU and file must have exact same name as the movie.
When the movie starts press the Audio button then Yellow Button(says menu) and then OK and thats it.. you will have subtitles.
I have now a question on my own
.. i cannot find in the bluepanel the DVB-T menu.. i see my A850 in the tuners fine (i suppose it found it automatically) but it doesnt work when i choose any DVB-T channel.

my friend,SRT subtitle work without problem..
it must be the same name-movie and SRT file
And start the movie through internal player

Have you tested with a clean image and the original BH skin
and no SWAP,NO webbrowser and NO plugins added ??

I think you can ,but you will not have channel nr info in OSD.

well.. "no SWAP" thats what i was talking about.. if i disable the swap, all is good again.. so thats the issue.

With the Elegance skin for 1.7.2 the channel number is present, but not work the next program info in list

I never use the SWAP
nor have I seen some sort of proven function for satellite receivers.
Some kind of better work.
At the moment when the image filled to the extent that you have to use SWAP
such an image will no longer work well.
So do not use big python plugins , skins not from our server.
Some skins using own python coding (very bad for image)..
Do not use to much epg data .etc

No old skins do not support next program info.
You have one on image server EclipseHD B and C for BH 1.7.3 similar to EleganceHD

well, seems like i have a problem when using crossepg, since i have quite many satelites.. if i download like sweden and uk.. its fine.. but etc i download astra 19.2 .. box restarts gui.. and all epgs are gone.. if i enable swap.. it works without reboot of gui...
if you have any suggestions in that mather i would realy like to know em.

To me it is clear
and this is the greatest limit VU + Duo have compared to UNO, and Ultimo
that have greater memory.
I have no real answer to your question.
The only thing that helps is a partial cleaning of image from all not in use.

Hi!
Do u recommend to flash the image and then use multiboot with the same image or do u run the image directly from flash? I also have some problems when downloading EPG, even though i just use Sky UK and Nordic channel EPG.

Right is a nice skin, but does not support the display decoder as the Elegance
????
The skin coding is not coding for LCD
I do not know why it is different with you.
LCD coding is located in a separate coding and have nothing
with the skin coding and skin in use.
If you like to have different LCD coding you have to put this LCD coding in to image.
(/etc/enigma2/skin_user.xml)

As far as I know it's not directly relevant for EPG
because the problem with the EPG is due to memory
because EPG is loaded directly into memory
regardless of whether the image is on a USB or flash image.
