Solo2 changing Remote control code via the box

Hi all

my remote control for my vu+ solo2 seems really slow/sluggish andtakes time for the box to respond to my button presses.
now iv heard you can change the mode or something for the remote either on the remote itself or via the STB

please can somebody tell me how to change it via the box please
