Dear Enigma2 / Open Source Development Team
Dear interested and "curious" people

I own two different set top boxes from VU+ and Edision. Of the both two devices work the newest version, the manual input of IPTV, which of television stations for whole world freely switched e.g. "NHK World Japan" or also other television channels world-wide via satellite or also cable television freely, unencrypted receivable are likewise freely over IPTV available. All chargeable channels such as pay TV with subscription are not interested me. About pay TV IPTV no topic here.

With numerous of the television station freely switched channels stand beside "NHK World Japan" (with the version "AI Subtitles") gives further channels from North America, partly from South America and partly from Asia and partly from ‘below the equator’ offer interesting programs with Closed Caption (according to EIA-608 / CTA-708 standard) to the order. In Europe, certain TV channels are available with Teletext subtitles (according to ETSI EN 300 706 standard) and/or DVB subtitles (according to ETSI EN 300 743 standard).

I noticed that with all Enigma2 / Open Source software developed for the device, still no Closed Caption (according to EIA-608 / CTA-708 standard). However, with open source software VLC media player on the laptop / notebook has worked flawlessly.

I would be happy, coming time at all Enigma2 / Open Source Software about readable and playable by Closed Caption (according to EIA-608 / CTA-708 standard) is available for all users.
