Cool TV Guide 1920x1080 skin Version 2..

With complete respect to Eragon who began to modify the skin as in this thread: www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/cooltvguide-skin-1920-x-1080.23427/

I was also bothered with the skin not working full screen for our VU+ boxes, and it seems that the developer has stoped updating Cool Tv Guide..

With inspiration from Eragon I took all of the screens from the Cool TV guide and rezised them. (Eragon I did not use any of your files).

The method is the same as described in Eragons thread.

Use any FTP program and upload the following files to :
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide/CoolSkin

CoolChannelGuide_1280.xml
CoolChannelGuide2_1280.xml
CoolChannelGuide3_1280.xml
CoolEasyGuide_1280.xml
CoolEasyGuide2_1280.xml
CoolEasyGuide3_1280.xml
CoolInfoGuide_1280.xml
CoolMultiGuide_1280.xml
CoolNiceGuide_1280.xml
CoolSearch_1280.xml
CoolSingleGuide_1280.xml
CoolSingleGuide2_1280.xml
CoolSingleGuide3_1280.xml
CoolTinyGuide_1280.xml
CoolTVGuide_1280.xml
CoolTVGuideSetup.xml

(All of the above files are included in the Coolskin2.zip)

Then you need to upload the following new graphics from file "Cool3d.zip" to:
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide/Cool3D/Menu

CoolChannelGuide.png
CoolEasyGuide.png
CoolEasyGuide2.png
CoolFrame.png
CoolFrame2.png
CoolMultiGuide.png
CoolSingleGuide.png
CoolTVGuide.png

And also these new graphics to:
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide/Cool3D

CoolCursor.png
CoolCursor2.png
progress.png
progress_back.png
timeline-now.png

Afterwards make sure that all new files is set to Permission 644.
Reebot and enjoy fullscreen Cool TV Guide!.

Report back problems with graphics.

Yes it is working for me, I have open black hole 0.1 with cool tv guide 7.3 installed.
Any one else have the same problem?

Try this one

fixed some bugs in coding (bug in CoolTVGuide_1280.xml color definitions)
and bug in png files converted from true color 24 bit (Not supported in Black Hole image) to True color + Alpha 32 bits

Very strange that it works for me? I have VU SoloSE V2 with open black hole 0.1. Could it be different that I am using a SoloSE?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks Matrix10 for the update. It works like charm.

I am quite a NewBee to VU+ and CoolTVGuide. But I tried to play with CoolTV design a bit. Please find a little, very simple design
for CoolTVGuide. Just replace the files in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide/Cool3D/MyDesign/.

Then on your Set-top-Box select Main menu > Plugins > CoolTVGuide Setup. Select Guide (with the blue button), then
choose CoolTV3D. Select MyDesign with the left and right arrows on your remote.

I built the design on Matrix10's update, CoolTVGuide 7.3 version and tried with VU+ Solo 4K.

I am not sure whether it works on other configs or not.

@kurben thank for your modified the coolTV Guide. Would you please tell me that all those files which you modified have the same file name with the original files? I means how to deal with the original files? overwrite the files which have the same file name and leave the original file which have different file name as it is. In other word, how to deal with the original files?

@Matrix10 thank you for your support the coolTV guide. Would you please confirm whether the files you uploaded are the full set of files which are created by @kurben and modified by you or a fresh new set of files independent? Are those files compatible with Blackhole 3.0.3?

Thanks @Matrix10 and @kurben for both of your excellent work. I have just replaced the files as your instruction. It works well with my BH3.0.3. I have not play the new modified CoolTVguide yet in depth, but so far it works well. Thanks again.

I really like CoolTvGuide, and its even better with the FullHD skins.
But I couldnt get the picons to work.

But after a lot of digging I found out where the it looks for the picons.

Here are the picon search path for CoolTvGuide

/ coolpicon /
/ usr/share/enigma2/picon /
/ media / cf / picon /
/ media / usb / picon /
/ picon /

I hope it helps!
