DLink DWL-G122 not working with DH 2.0.2

Hi Guys and Gals

I have a Wlan issue with my DLink DWL-G122 H/W Ver :E1 F/W Ver :5.00. It no longer works with BH 2.0.2, I have had no problems with BH 1.7.9. I have updated to 2.0.2c through the online image update.

When I connect through the Wlan using DHCP, I get an IP address, I can ping the IP but that’s all. I can’t get access through DCC and the box doesn’t get access out to, download manager or image update. I get the same results for static IP.

The dongle itself has a status/link light which seems dead. I have reinstalled BH 1.7.9 and it works first time, no probs. So cable and dongle works. I reinstall BH 2.0.2 and it is dead.

My router uses WPA with TKIP. It can only use TKIP. I have spent a good few hours trying to figure out what’s wrong but I am stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

Update

Got the Dongle working by completing the following :=

install BH 1.7.9
copied /lib/modules/3.1.1/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/rt5370sta.ko
installed BH 2.0.2
copied above file back. deleted rt5572sta.ko
run depmod -A
rebooted box
enabled Wlan and it burst into life.

I presume BH must detect the wrong driver.

thanks

Your is a WORKAROUND and not a solution.
Drivers are taken from MANUFACTURER of chipset and I've tested them a lot before give the OK to be included into BH images.

I completely accept that the above is a WORKAROUND.

The issue does need a solution. Why would BH 1.7.9 select a working driver and BH 2.0.2 not do so? The update I gave was in good faith that it could perhaps help find a solution.

Thanks

You're right and I try to reproduce the problem with my USB wireless dongles.
Without problem reproduction is impossible for me to try to fix it.
