Hello please where can i find ipk rtl 8192eu file for vu + uno4k, thanks
I 'm looking forward the 8192EU ipk package for blackhole image on vuzero; i've tried two, but don't work. The usb key still invisible.
Anyone can help me?
I tested my Tplink TL-WN823N with chipset rtl8192eu and didn´t work with your driver. Give an error in instalation. How install patches?
I tried with the file r8192eu_18.104.22.16820.20140505-r1_vuzero.ipk in BH 3.0.3.H but it does not work.
Give an error in instalation. How install patches?
does anyone know how to add to BH 3.0.3.H

First, I know, I'm new to the scene, but here are some thoughts.
Even though this is one of the most viewed threads for wifi usb dongles, and open since Feb 12 2015, still to this day no one was able to convert a rtl8192eu
linux driver for blackhole?!
Unfortunatly I still lack the technical knowledge to do so, but in my view it's mesmerizing that such a forum in wich some of the best tech guys in the world are reunited, still no soul was ever able to solve this issue. Is it a mather of disconcern or is it the complexity of such task that is overwhelming? I wonder...
But it would be nice if someone could at least release somekind of tutorial to serve as groundbase to help those who want/can solve this issue.
For those more sensitive, no disrespect was intended.
Can someone please help me with the driver , I have the VU+ SOLO
me too, i have vu+ zero 4k with firmware 3.0.5 and i need rtl8192eu driver, can i help me?
I need the IPK or driver for the VU+ Uno 4k (Not SE!!!)
Hi. For Vuplus Zero, you can upload the attached file (via FTP) to this folder:
Before uploading the file, change its extension to ".ko" by removing the last ".txt" part of the filename (I had to rename it as TXT because the forum wouldn't allow me to upload the file otherwise)
Then restart your vu zero and it will then let you use any Wifi dongle with Realtek 8192eu chipset
*PS: I've only tested this solution with BlackHole 3.0.4 image. Can't ensure it works in all other images
Not yet tested but file seems to be the same as posted in .ipk file in older post.
i need IPK driver for vu+ zero HD
my usb wifi is TP-LINK TL-WN823N Ver: 3.0
BH 3.0.5 L
Thanks for the IPK!
Why Black Hole does not support rtl8192eu. No drivers for architecture arm. On the images of PLI and ATV it is.
You can try OpenBlackHole, then: it's a Open project, like the two you mentioned, but developed by the BH team.
OpenBlackHole no support Ci+
Now we are 2020, 5 years after the 1st post . Any solution or tutorial for rtl8192eu driver for Vu Uno.
I found it, and is very simple for Vu uno and I guess all other STB
just open telnet and enter the following commands
opkg install rtl8192eu
Thank you for your guideline, I have connected TL-WN823N V2 Adapter to VU uno 4k, and follow your commands, it is working fine for me,
However it is connected to Access Point using 802.11g only, and its speed 54 MB, it wasn't able to connect to Access Point using 802.11n, and I have tested Adapter on Windows PC and it is able to connect to Access Point using 802.11n smoothly.
So is there any additional configuration required on VU uno 4k in order to let Adapter to connect to Access Point using 802.11n.
Thank you for your kind cooperation
I am glad to hear that my little tip helped you. My adapter is connecting at 300 Mb/s using 2.4 GHz frequency. Maybe your STB is far from your access point. Try switching to 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz as 2.4 has wider range of coverage
