I've used my WiFi option all night, including Kodi, without any problems, on my Duo2.
Either the problem is your receiver, your router, possibly the distance is too great, interference, or you haven't set it up correctly.
All I am able to report is that my internal Duo2 WiFi connection works, without any drop outs.
