Can you give enigma2.po file for the Russian language or English?
as in BH 1.7.1 is only /usr/share/enigma2/po/ru/LC_MESSAGES/enigma2.mo

The localization files are in the format of Linux OS.
You should ose PO Editor to edit them.

In the image (all images) there are compiled po files.
I think you have approached correctly the structure of po files.
If the block "msgstr" is empty I think there is not actually a translation for it into po file.

Исходный (английский файл) файл взят из имиджа Black Hole 1.7.2 Vu Uno
/usr/share/enigma2/po/en/LC_MESSAGES/enigma2.mo
dxgettext-1.2.1-beta-4 - после установки ... после двойного клика по .mo файлу - автоматически создаётся рядом .po файл
poedit-1.4.6-setup - редактор текстов в .po файлах, при сохранении автоматом делает .mo файл
Остановился примерно на строке номер 4596, что то понадобится подправить, но сначала добить 6000+ строк.
Недостающие строки вставить из исходного .po файла в редакторе, например Notepad++
Вообще, я редактировал именно в Notepad++. А Poedit использовал только для компиляции .po в .mo
Вставлял из исходника недостающие строки и переводил. Старался чтобы номера строк все совпадали.
!!! Если кто доосилит перевод, не забудьте поделиться файлом .mo или .po
