Press the BLUE button twice.
Open BH Speed-UP Menu.
Drop down on the list and enable HBBTV.

Choose a service thats broadcast HBBTV services for example ARD on ASTRA 19.2 East.

Press the RED button and wait for HBBTV Menu.

In my case, works different. ;)
I long press blue go to HbbTV and press launch.
I don't know why red button is not working.
But I'm fine with this.
Thanks.

You can go the way you did it, after enable it ( if not enable ), under BH Speed-UP menu, right? Is it clear?

Is it working?

Note: HBBTV is not embedded on image by default!

I have the latest obh version on my solo2 but when I try to enable hbbtv I get an error - something to do with a dependency on Opera.
What to do?

Not every channels are compatible with this component: the "safer" ones are the German channels.
And, if you want the long red button to work, you can program it this way in the Setup Button submenu.

The issue is that @droogi said can´t install HBBTV and OPERA:

It can be, he has already it installed and updated, though it devolves the error when trying to install it, and not the way as HBBTV works on the available HBBTV broadcasting services ;).

The RED button is already mapped to work on HBBTV services, so he don´t needs to complicate it, and map anything!

Why RED LONG, just the RED it´s enough!

Hi Nunigaia,
sorry for missing details, i flashed openblackhole 4.4.001 on the vu+duo2, then configured network, then updated to 4.4.009. After installing ***** and copying the bouquets i tried to configure hbbtv with BH Speed-UP Menu and got the error message. (minidlna works).
(no Problem if i would have to install again)
hbbtv can be found in the plugins extension list (cannot be installed in this way), but opera /openopera is not available.

regards, droogi

Opera needs to be fixed ( It´s broken ), and only VuPlus can do it!

Note: Pay attention to the plugin you have mentioned on your post, that I have edited and changed it´s size and color to red! It´s not allowed on our board to talk or mentioning any kind of "illegal stuff".

thanks nunigiaia for explanations and thanks for ***(, i thought this could be an issue). Is there a way to install opera manually, e.g older version via ipk or do i just have to wait?

Try this one for now ... JUST for DUO2!

1) Download an Unzip the attached package, to obtain the desired "IPK" package.

2) Send it to /tmp/ folder, by using a FTP tool as ( Filezilla, WinScp ... )

3) Open Terminal ( command line ) and run the following commands, one by one:

Code:
opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-hbbtv

reboot

Then try a service that has HBBTV broadcasting.

Enjoy it! It´s working for me, as it will work for you.

This is a temporary fix ... don´t blame on me! :D

Note: Don´t know if this it will work on other mipsel Vuplus STB´s ;)

§ If this "temporary solution" is working or not for you, please report it!

Thanks nunigaia, i appreciate your guidance.

(I only found vuplus-opera-browser-util-1.0-r42 on github/pli)
I did the terminal installation as described ,it worked well (second line has one "opkg install" too much.)

First time for me to use hbbTV, really enjoying it. Never worked before.

Regards, droogi
(i enabled samba, it´s more convenient than using ftp/winscp)

Thanks @droogi for your reply, and we are glad that works for you.

Note: Fixed my post ... due to double "opkg install", though thanks to report it... anyway you get it sorted! ;) ... very good :victory:

Hi, I have the same error trying activating HBBTV on OBH 4.4.009 on Duo2.
I'm trying your solution:

- first command ok
- second command, error (see telnet log )

Is there a way to solve and install that?

Thanks,
Alberto

I think you haven´t read my whole post from 6 months ago ...

Just for DUO2, where i don´t know if it is working now ... ( I haven´t desired time to test as wish :( )

In any case for youtube ... try this plugin for now, install and give it a try:
