    Hi!
Has somebody tested new HDR UHD channels on ASTRA? I had, and noticed that my tv does not recognize it as channel with HDR content... Otherwise, when sending HDR content that is not coming from reciever, works fine, for example NETFLIX.
Is vu 4k HDR ready or still need to be updated to be HDR capable?

    Thx!

    Regards,
    Marko

Even TVs have firmware updates released every now and then. Is your FW the latest one?
If I'm not wrong, the acronym HDR by itself doesn't say everything because there are at least 3 HDR standards and HLG is just one of them.

As it says, for instance, in the below article, "it isn’t as simple as saying a TV supports “HDR”. There are two different standards. Some TVs and streaming services just support one standard or the other, while some support both. When you see that a TV, video, or game supports HDR, you’ll have to check whether it actually supports the HDR standard you want".

I know, i installed latest firmware for tv.
I know there are couple of HDR standards out there, i was just curious which of them are supported on vu. Also, what is the meaning of hdmi colorspace? Is this related to HDR? When i enabled uhd deep color on LG, and put vu on RGM hdmi colorspace i can see white dancing pixels around.. could it be because of bad cable?

    thx!

Just for information but i also own the LG OLED B6 and it supports HDR as well as Dolby Vision, the problem is the Vu Solo4K either requires a driver Update to enable HDR output or the HDMI version built into the Solo4K is not HDMI 2.0a compatible which means it will not support HDR channels.

There are HDR test channels out now on 19.2 east forget the HLG LG teststream this is a different format but the is an Astra UHD HDR channel broadcasting and currently the Solo4K does not recognise the HDR stream on that channel.

Driver Update required or a statement from Vu+ to say that the Solo4K HDMI output can do HDR

Which one do you mean (that's not recognised)? "SES UHD Demo" at 10994 or "UHD1 by ASTRA / HD+" at the same transponder/frequency? Because I can see them both at the moment but the second is meant to be encrypted.

    Hot Bird 4K2 HDR

    13° east 12539 H 30000 5/6

The Solo4K does not output the HDR metadata stream which means its not being recognised by the receiver

I don´t know if you use the org VU HDMI Cable ? if yes try it with
    another Cable
My HDMI Cable is connected on HDMI in Slot 3 for the use of UHD Deep Colour
i also use Autoresolution on the VU also i set the A/V settings to:
    Mode:2160
    Refresh Rate:multi
    HDMI Colorspace:Auto
    HDMI Colordepth:Auto

I confirm: the 13°E 12539 works perfectly. Aren't you sure you are not referring to the channel (with the same name) at 12015, 30000H, 5/6, 8PSK? Because this one is not active now but it was before (and I still have in one bouquet).

Please read my original Post on this subject, Yes i can receive the channel no problem at all what i am saying is these channels have HDR metadata encoded in them so when i switch the channel on my OLED should automatically detect the HDR data and a small white HDR flag appears in the top right hand corner of the screen on all the so called HDR channels the HDR flag does not get activated which means its either a driver problem or the HDMI version on the Solo4K.

I also have a 4K UHD Blu Ray player and an Nvidia Shield both of which when fed 4K UHD HDR programs activate the HDR Flag.

Nothing wrong with my HDMI cables, this is due to Drivers and or Box

Same here. Channels are working fine, but tv is not recognizing HDR format.

    Hi

So i missunderstud the post, sorry about that
The Datasheed from the VU Solo 4K says HDMI 2.0 out
    http://www.vuplus.de/produkt_solo4k.php
i think you're right with your guess that this is a driver problem
maybe this future will be built-in/fixed in future Updates
