Help with Vu+ Solo 2 4K Tuner set up

I have vu solo 2 4K which i flash with Openatv latest.
The box have permanent twin tuner

I need to know how can I do complete tuners set up to get maximum recording benefits.

currently I have seen it got to many tuners on display to set up

I have normal stranded Lnb and I am using 2 x wire as input for both tuners.

Please help me out as I only need to set all tuners for 28.2e nothing else.

I do not have unicable and I been told that this box can record up to 8 channels if tuners set up is correct.

Please guide me through to set up.

If you look closer, at the images, in your link, you will see that they are the VU+ Solo 4K, there is no such receiver as a VU+ Solo 2 4K.
Take a look at the official VU+ website, and a list of their receivers:

Please tell us which receiver you actually have, a VU+ Solo 4K, or an older VU+ Solo 2?

there is no success mate with these funny tuners.

I have set tuner A&B to single.simple, 28.2e

tuner c , d , e , f ,g , h showing not configured

when I leave them alone then I can record more then 2 separate channels.

It all messed up now.

can some one please guide me step by step
I am sure some one here definitely got this box with right setup.

I d,nt think It work only with Unicable Lnb as I have slandered 4 out put Lnb

I am look to record more then 4 channels at a time with out any restriction while watching another freely.
I also want to download Crossepg(opentv) every day with any tunner faild message/error
Manufactured told me that this box is easy capable to this due to the latest technology tuners

I do not have such a LNB

You have 2 SAT tuners with mechanical connection
and each has three so-called virtual tuners
Totally 8 tuners,each tuner covers the entire band.
When you have two classic LNB or 4 out put Lnb
you can use only two.

That means you need to configure only two tuners A and B
others are configured in automatically.

The biggest limitation of the classic LNB is polarization.

So with two LNB you can have at the same time a maximum of two different V & H

I have 1 single LNB with 4 out put so I use 2 wire into vu solo 4k
I only configure tuner A&B as

config mode simple
mode single
satellite 28.2e
send disq no

I have not touch any other tuners which are
tuner c,d,e,f,g,h

but it do not work I tried Vti, OpenVix, and now OpenAtv image

when I record 2 to 3 channels then many channels not clear any more then I have to cancel recordings to watch channels

theorely It should at least record 6 to 7 different frequency channels while watching the 8th one freely.

I am very disappointed from this receiver


Unless some one recomend a pecific image to flash

See how many programa I record with only one LNB.
Of course, the limitations with one LNB that are all on the same polarization.

I do not know the exact number of programs that you can record
but he is big

One LNB can receive four transponders in the same time and record channels.

One single lnb RECORDING
LNB connected >> Tuner A
Tuner B LOOPTHROUGH tuner A

one lnb have 4 feed built in reciever so in that case I/you shold be able to record 3 channels from any frequency freely while watching the 4th one

I think problem is LNB

Which LNB you have ?

True quattro lnbs have four seperate outputs permanently
1 vert lo band
1 horiz lo band
1 vert hi band
1 horiz hi band

Quad lnbs have 4 seperate outputs each of which can be set to any of the above at any time by 22khz tones and switching voltages.

Yes, my Lnb got four seperate outputs permanently

1 vert lo band
2 horiz lo band
3 vert hi band
4 horiz hi band



I am also using 16 input 6 output multiswitch

If it is Lnb then please tell me exact which Unicable Lnb do I need ?

I need to have 8 out put so I can use 4 twin tuners recievers.

I am struggling big time with this solo 4k.

I have 1 meter dish with fix Quatro Lnb
I have bought Unicable Multi switch where I can input my Quatro lnb and it give 1 UNI SCR out put for 8 boxes.
I have insert that single SCR cable to tuner A

I have tried to select tuner config to Advance then LNb 1 , Unicable,Scr1 etc.....
I have disable/Enable the Tuner B
I have also tried to leave all the rest tuner as it is and also set then as connected to tuner A in advance set up.

So far By using single cable I can not be able to get even all 28.2e channels to watch. or some time if accidentally some channels come through when I fiddle in tuner setting then I can record only 1 channels all rest not OK to watch.


Any one here who are Using this new Technology Box with Unicable LNb ?

All I want is,from Tuner A&B record many channels on any frequency with out any truble.

Can some help please?

may be box do not like unicable multiswitchswitch

do I need any pacific Unicable LNB to suit this box?

I am 100% sure there is some one who has done this all and can help me out here.

The Solo 4K is a new receiver, for new technology, which isn't widely available yet.
From what I've read you're using a Quattro LNB and a home distribution system, to a number of receivers.
Are all the receivers the same? The VU+ Solo 4K?

Can you please check if the channels, you are able to get, are all on the same polarity, Horizontal, or Vertical, or all High, Low, frequency?

Can you also please post the make/model of the LNB, and the make/model of your distribution system.

If you receive only one sat, the best way is to use an Unicble LNB with 4 or 8 frequencies, connect this one directly with one cable to Input LNB1.
With this configuration you will receive 8 channels at the same time.

Now the issue is which exact Unicable can give me 8x satellite from one single cable?

As I said only I need 28.2e sky uk nothing else and I have fixed dish.

I have already spent £120 for the Emp-SCR Multiswitch which I am trying to return to save the cast.
I do not want to buy wrong type of LNB and waste money.

Please advice me exact Unicable LNB which can feed 8x satellite from 1 SCR or two wire via splitter?

This box is driving me mad so far.I am very close to swap this box with vu duo 2

This box also do not accept Usb T/C OptiCombo tuner for cable. I tried with OpenAtv,Vix,Blackhole,Vti, but no luck.

so the only thing will be is create more recording with builtin twin tuners and use 2nd card as cable.
