Hi everyone

Janse46

Vu+ Newbie
When buying my Vu+ sat receiver the supplier gave a warning that this device possibly would cost me a lot of free time. He was right. So i hope to learn a lot of experienced users.

Yes, it's true but this isn't just a receiver: it is a powerful device able to be your PVR as well as your media center (although I prefer a NAS to store all my multimedia files and use the VU+ to launch them, because a NAS is much safer if in Raid1).
So, a powertool device needs learning but once you've learned what you can do, you'll never want to go back to normal receivers.
If you want to try one of the two images supported by this forum, BlackHole and OpenBlackHole (BH and OBH), you'll learn a lot, although our advice is to use OBH because BH was forced to stop its developing due to the VU+ slowness in update their kernel (whom BH is based on).
OBH has now its own forum linked also in the homepage:

https://board.openbh.net

where you need to register in order to post and to download OBH.
OBH is much more powerful and comfortable, believe me.
