How can we save the streaming files?

Now we have many streaming related plugins such as 1channel, TSmedia, IPtvupdator, which can provide many intersting materials. However, sometimes, the broadband is too busy too watch. Do we have any way to save (download) the streaming files and then we can watch them in another time?

Any suggestion please!
