    How to setup Crossepg {XEPGDB providers} on a USB stick

    As follows:-

    1} Press Menu on your STB Remote Control and choose SETUP {1}
    1.JPG
    2} Then select CrossEPG {2}
    2.JPG 3} Press Configure and in this menu you will setup the location to store the EPG data.
    The best place is on a USB stick, because it is fast. You should see a menu similar to this {3}
    3.JPG
    4} Now Press the RED button to save and you will go back to the CrossEPG main menu.
    Next you must Update XEPGDB Providers, the info page will look like this {4}
    4.JPG
    5} Now your provider list has been updated, so now select XEPGDB providers {5}
    5.JPG
    6} In the XEPGDB providers menu, just select the provider(s) that you want to download,
    the info page will look like this {6}
    6.JPG
    7} Now press the Yellow button to download the 3 providers that were selected.
    *On the first generation boxes (Solo, Duo, Uno and Ultimo), it is a good idea to only select 2 or 3 providers as the epg data fills up the memory very quickly*. On the Solo2 you can select all packages without any issues. {7}
    7.JPG
    8} Now your EPG is ready to used {8}
    8.JPG
    9} To update your EPG data, you can either navigatie into the main CrossEPG menu, and select Download now, or you can Press the Green button @STB Remote Control and use the CrossEPG Downloader. {9}
    9.JPG
    9.1} After Pressing CrossEPG Downloader the data will be download, converted and then loaded ready for use automatically. {9.1}

    *** The above guide can also be used for the Rytec EPG packages, just select Rytec instead of XEPGDB and follow the above guide ***

    Thank you EVO and Artorius in help with translation

    I think you should NOT mix OPENTV providers and their respective pre-populated (I don't know what is their names into CrossEPG system).

    Depends on Personal Backup settings, what you selected to backup. Yes, it's normal.

    I want to have EPG in Greek language for Greek channels. But appears in English as my interface is. I don't want to change language in menu from English. Is there any choice? Thanks.

    select devilcosta in Greek as your provider (for nova) and you'll get epg in Greek, if that's what you've been asking for

    That's I'm selecting but appears in English. Maybe I have sth to change in EPG Settings (tick or untick)?

    Receiver solo keeps crashing when i open info panel, and crossepg is configured on HDD.
    when It restarts crossepg reverts to internal flash, and does not move, when I click again on info button, the device crash again. USB is also plugged in

    you have to thick it - and believe me it works - do not thick nova in english as it will overwrite your settings
    good luck ;)

    can you just enter a little bit more details please - what receiver you have, hard drive - external or internal and post your epg configuration?
    At last - as M10 suggested - post your crash log

    we've spent plenty of time talking about epg configuration here and I'm sure it's close to perfection.
    I do not have any problems if I follow this tutorial
    :)
