How to stop receiver looking for internet?

My Duo2 runs BH2.0.6. I have nocticed I must connect the receiver to internet before I switch on the receiver. If not, the receiver reports an error message' failed to resolve name server' and if it cannot get to connected in short time, the receiver will be frozen. No any respoundence for RCU any buttons, no reaction to front power switch.
Please help!
1. How to stop the receiver to look for the internet? (I have disabled the internet from network setting, no use).

2. Is there any key combination or procedure to switch off the receiver or resume from a frozen system?

3. Would the BH developers please give a look at this issue? The system is quite often frozen when the required condition is not sutisfied, For example, when the broadband speed is not fast enough, the receiver is frozen. When it cannot find 'name server (internet), it is frozen. When user dose not respound an message for a while, it is frozen. I have re-flashed the image, it is the same.

If you use static IP you MUST setup DNS servers manually. If you use DHCP don't care about them because they are automatically configured.

Hi, angelofsky1980. Thanks for your reply. I did set the DNS server because I use Static IP. The problem is I wish to disconnect from my broadband connection, when I use my DUO2 sometimes. The network setting seems correct, because if I switch on my router everyting is fine. But when I switch off my router, the receiver starts to send error message continuesly and if I am not respound the receiver (switch on my router) in a short time, the receiver's screen will frozen. After the screen has been frozen, no RCU buttion will function any more except do a very harmful switch off from the back of the receiver's power switch. It is very like the blue screen of early windows operation system. When something uncomfortable, screen frozen and have to reboot. I think the BH should have some kinds of routins to handle the error message or the internet connection failure . I just do not know how to access the STOP procedure to stop receiver reporting 'name-server failure resolving'. I also noticed if I watch a streem, when the server is not fast enough, the receiver's screen frozen ( it should have some kind procedure to stop the receiver frozen screen when a network connection failure.)

You can disable networking within the image and you should solve your problems.

Thanks angelofsky1980. I did diable the network from network-settup (diable-lan and wlan), but no luck, the receiver is still look for the name-server. Is it the right place to disable the network? Is it possible to set one button on RCU or a button procedure to switch on/off the network? You are the code writor, I am sure you can do it. If the current version has not such function, it would be very appreciated if you could consider this option when you write the new version of BH. Also please consider to intruduce some kind of stop routin or restar eginma2 routin when the screen frozen.
