how to transfer flash memory to swap on usb

hi guys I have vu+duo and have loaded open black hole onto it I have it almost set as I want it ....but I created a swop file before I added some plugins and then I checked to see....... and they have gone onto the flash memory the flash memory is up to 92% now and will start to cause problems soon so how can I transfer some of this flash memory to the swop file ......its looking a really great image well done all you guys and gals

Plugin skinmover or flashexpander solves all ,very easy

The djakac9 where will I find them and is there a way to increase the font size in the image struggling a little with the size of the text my eyes are not that young lol the for your reply

SWAP file is used to increase RAM memory of your box and NOT THE FLASH.
To increase FLASH, use OpenMultiBoot.

aaah right I can not find this openmultiboot in plugins and will I still need to add flash expander my last image the flash was at 100% and kept crashing ( green screen ) I want to try and avoid this with this one it is at 92% now thanks for your help guys ....if you could point to where I can download these and where to FTP them to .......also is there a setting to make text on image larger thanks sky

To install OpenMultiBoot:
1. update image online
2. menu - plugins - green button - extensions -OpenMultiBoot
3. follow OpenMultiBoot tutorial

my appologies I have found Openmultiboot now.... I updated image on my vu+ and after update it was in my plugins so now I will set this up ........but do I still need skin mover or flash expander installed ? thank you Djakac9 but the address does not work in browser thx

Thanks djakac9 very easy guides I have managed to reduce the flash to 74% from 92% so I hope this is sufficient to a smooth performance I will keep a check on it ....only problem is if I turn box off at night I have to re mount the usb all the time on start up don't suppose there is a way around this other than leave box in standby but concerned it may over heat then lol catch 22 ......now I will try to setup OpenMultiBoot not used it before but looks good thx again for your time.

hi guys I updated the image from the box and the OpenMultiBoot that is in the plugins keeps crashing at the start...... when I set the partition and press ok it crashes green screen has someone got a version that works if they could put it up for me to FTP to box thanks

The error regards open multiboot plugin, so:

To boot normally to Open Blackhole 0.1 do this:

Turn off your STB on the rear power on/off button.
Extract the pen drive where you have uploaded the images to boot on multiboot.
Turn on your STB --> The STB should boot normally to Flash Image installed ( OBH 0.1 ).
Introduce the Pen Drive --> Restart your STB
Your device ( Pen Drive shoud be now Mapped )
Delete for now: OpenPli and/or Blackhole 2.1.? from Multiboot and don´t use them, until the problem is solved.

This issue you have, think it was, when you reverted from OpenPli or Blackhole 2.1.? to OBH.1 ( and is known by Black Hole Team ).

You can use OpenATV and Vti images for now!
be patient and wait until the trouble been fixed.

should I remove openmultiboot from the add ons or is it a problem with open blackhole image do I need to remove the whole image from vu+duo ? and put new image on .............I was using blackhole 2.1.5 until I installed open blackhole0.0.1 a few days ago thx

Instructions:

upload the 2 ipk in /tmp
click on green -> yellow -> manual install ipk packages

Warning:
1) frist install meoboot
2) second install meoboot-init

P.s. Because of all these images have implemented vu+ proxy drivers and kernel support meoboot cannot work with Pli in flash to boot those images for Solo2, SoloSE, and duo2-
But it should work with images for the box that does'nt have gles support like solo duo uno, ultimo and zero.
So i suppose you can try this version of meoboot with Pli in flash but only for Solo, duo, uno, ultimo, zero.
Remeber only that if you install meoboot with Pli in flash you need to install first nandsim module.

You don't need nandsim modules to test with OpenBlackHole in flash.
That's all.
It is better to wait for a working version of OpenMultiboot that should be a better solution.

No, you don´t need to remove open multiboot plugin, and don´t need to revert to BH!
The instructions i gave, are clear?
The Stb boots normally?
You have deleted the images i told?

Thank you guys for your help Nunigaia your instructions are clear ........I have done as you requested after turning box off removed usb device turned box back on inserted usb device remounted and mapped device ......then on restarting the box display is stuck on starting and will not respond to remote control I have picture and sound but no control........ restarted box 2 more times and all back on running ok ........I have not put any images in openmultiboot that is what I was trying to do to add another image but when I open multiboot from plugin it was crashing everytime .......I will wait until a fix for it is made before I try again.......you guys do a really great job thank you very much
