Howto Remove OpenWebIF and install old Webinterface?

Hi,

I have installed latest BH 1.7.7 image, but like before I can't stream 2 channels at same time to my PC (VLC) since I use OpenWebIF. (And yes I have Dual tuner) Also I noticed I can't add radio timer with it. It was all possible on my old BH with the older webinterface!

Its a nice graphical UI but its missing some functions so I want back my good old E2 Webinterface.
Anyone can tell me if this is possible and howto do it on BH 1.7.7? I watched in the plugins but can't find the old webinterface listed. Also don't see a option howto remove openwebif.

Thanks!

It's a OpenWebIF issue.. I noticed the same issue on other images.. I changed to another Image now because I'm not happy what BH did.
Removing the old Webif, even no option to install it again. I found a new image that has OpenWebIF as default installed but still possible option to install the original webinterface back again. And it works like charm now.

In my opinion OpenWebIF isn't ready to be used right now.. Also It's a nice to see a new development and I hope it's getting that issue's fixed.
And I hope BH team don't see this as attack to them because they did nice work. But I'll advice to add both WebInterfaces as option so people can choose. Until thats not happened I stay with my current image.

I have to agree with this, an option to use the old web interface makes a lot of sense: it works much better.

I think OpenWebIf is better than old Web Interface.
It crashes far more often, it has problems with the remote control feature (doesn't really work) and it's even missing some features of the old one. In what way is it better, apart from being true open source, as you say?

I think that OpenWebif is much faster and better than old webinterface.
But if you like:

1) upload both files in /tmp
2) From telent digit:
Code:
opkg install /tmp/python-pyopenssl_0.8-ml1_mipsel.ipk
Code:
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-webinterface.ipk

I've used OpenWebIf some time and all works correctly.

I've tried OpenWebIf again and it seems to have been updated (I didn't see it in the release notes of the images). Everything works fine for now. :)
