Is BH V3.x.x the END(ing) for UNO ?

After 6+ Years of amazing development and new features, looks like the UNO
lifespan is (almost) reached.
Don't take me wrong , BH Team is amazing, they are one of the BEST Pro/hobbyists.
This new V3.x.x Image brings so many new features and challenges, but also
drives UΝΟ Hardware to it's knees.
512MB of RAM and 128MB Flash it's not "state of the art", six year ago was though.



I am very happy with my UNO but with new BH V3.x.x I run in many issue due to
"outdated" hardware resources.
If only VU+ was designed UNO with 256MB Flash (probably) we could had more lifespan.
At the end, I never felt "behind" all this years.

What are your thoughts ?

The VU+ Duo, and Uno, are two of the older models, and I doubt are any longer produced.
This doesn't make the receiver obsolete, as it can still beat many cheaper satellite receivers, and can still do what most people want, to use it as a satellite receiver.
My first foray, into the world of Enigma receivers, was the VU+ Duo 2, and even after 3 years I'm still impressed, with what it can do.
I think your Uno will last a while longer, at least until 4K gets more established.

I use for my uno only image bh 2.1.7 is the best

Maybe you can give a try to OBH now that it's gone quite far in its development. It should be less demanding for your HW.

Probably this is what all UNO owners will stick too.
For HD/SD satellite channel viewing is Top notch, but also a new ~50£ receiver is too.

OBH is smoll i think will be work good too.
Good way is put image in flash but have images in mooltiboot.
This way give you alot space to all whot you can becouse only size usb will be limited space

Just use a usb stick and put BH into OpenMultiBoot then your flash is as big as your usb stick.

My ultimo4k has 28gb flash right now as the image I am using is in OMB.

Do you mean this Version? And what is the benefits?
Only the more space in Flash memory or there are other advantages too?
Always talk compared with new 3.0.3...

Right now I am with v3.0.2.F and I don't know if it's better to go on the latest (3.0.3.H) or that you say (2.1.7)

- Definitely I will use new OBH v 1.0 for testing / comparison.
The image free space is no issue by using a USB stick OpenMultiBoot or / and Universes.

- The feeling (for me) is by upgrading to Ver 3.x.x my UNO has no obvious "New" features
and the overall performance / response has been reduced.
This make me conclude that in the future new image updates, will not add anything "enthusiastic" for the UNO.
