Do you mean, I can record one channel and watch other one at same time via cable connection?

Whats best image do you recommend?

When I bought vu duo 2, I installed latest blackhole image and i had hell lot of issues, I was new on forum. I asked for help. Instead i was banned. I ended up on other forums to seek help. I dont know if I get similar hospitality again !!!

If you have the twin tuner, then yes you can watch 1 channel whilst you record another.

As for getting banned, if you did not read the rules of this board, then I am not surprised (incase you have forgotten them, it might be an idea to re-read them before you ask any questions that could get you banned again).

As for which image is best, it's all personal choice, but as this is the home of the Blackhole Team, I would say either Black Hole 3.0.2 or OpenBlack Hole 0.4

I have asked you regarding this post ( your post ) --> http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/vu-duo2-tested-for-you.13427/page-3#post-209827 for reading our board rules, and our admin @angelofsky1980 has banned you because you haven´t asked for support regarding the image used in your STB, but with no doughts, for emulators implementaion and support for it. This kind of questions, posts, threads or any kind of information regarding this illegal stuff, is not allowed as you can clearly see by reading the §4 of the board rules.

This is the only reason why you have got banned.

    best regards

Firstly I think you should pardon for people who are naive and know very little about this forum. Thats reasons I ended up getting rid of blackhole and went to other option VTI and now openvix.

Secondly I was thinking that this forum is for VU original receiver and I didnt know if this forum is exclusively for blackhole users.

I might sell duo 2 receiver and I will keep solo 4k as I can see one 4k channel on 28.2e but my duo 2 wont broadcast it. therefore i can see vu duo 2 has limits.

Now I might need help with few things.

Last night guys told me to check if receiver is genuine product. how to check if it is a genuine product?

Secondly, what is graphically best skin (with more info on information bar)? (Obviously I dont much and I have not seen may skins)

Kodi will be a bonus but not I have got Nvidia Shield TV

Do I have to connect solo 4k direct with tv or I can connect with my Pioneer 4k receiver? does it upscale 1080p picture into real 4k quality?

    any tip?

I have got 1tb HDD drive and 2tb HDD external drive (USB 3.0), do I need anything else to complete my set up?

With regards to point 1, you agreed to the rules of this board when you signed up on here (it was part of the signup process), if you chose not to read them, then you can not complain about getting banned, when you broke the rules. Therefore there is no reason for myself or any other member of the team to pardon you (or anyone else), the rules are there for a reason and you agreed with them (even if you chose not to read them). So maybe you should take the time to read them before you continue to post on this board.

As for point 2, this board is not exclusively for blackhole users, it is for all Vu+ users, however this board is the home of the blackhole team, therefore we are obviously biased, as we do not spend hours and hours putting images, features and skins together and then testing everything, if we didn't believe that out images are the best. But we don't force anyone to use our images, we know everything is personal preference and therefore encourage users to try all images and decide which is the best for there usage.

As for everything else you posted, please read the various threads of this and other boards and you will find the answers you are looking for (that is the great thing about these forums, most questions have been asked and answered many times before).

Thanks for your reply and I am here to share knowledge and get support and I obviously I dont want to make arguments. You should not assure that .cfg files are only for bad purposes only and they are part of image to make a right usage of it. you need to be fair and kind to accommodate newbies like me, so we can learn to settle down between brainy guys like you. but you need to provide us a good space, if you keep kicking on our backs, obviously we have to find alternative roots. Yes I did find a kind guy from other website but unfortunately he is on holidays, secondly, I am process of learning. Blackhole is well reputed image and I want to learn something from you guys with my experience with vu boxes and I hope it will help other guys (like me newbies) to learn to operate such a complicated machine (before they get banned). I appreciate your help guys...

If I am going to keep solo 4k, obviously I want to use best image available (Blackhole) if not, I will look for other alternatives with a open heart. I have got money to spend ....

last time, i spent hours of my life searching over the net for simple questions. It was merely about putting files into right folders thats it. but there is lack of guidance, there are NOT many videos on youtube. I could possible find solution to all issues via search, i would never switch to other images.

IS BlackHole is FACTORY built / original image for vu+ boxes?

and how to test /verify authenticity of any vu box? (It was easy in a case of Dreambox with original dreambox image as a tester)

No BlackHole is not a factory image, it's a 3rd party image, just like Vti, Vix, Atv, Spa, Pli etc etc.

However only Blackhole and VTi images are based on the Vu+ official image.

There is no test for Genuine boxes, the only way to be 100% sure you have a genuine box is to only buy from Authorised dealers in your country.

If you had two DBV-S2 FBC Tuners, could you watch/record four channels at the same time (with the same antenna)?

    Thanks in advance

After 2 years and a half, I think your post is not a good idea.
Even because you don't specify IN WHAT box you want 2 FBC tuners, the Duo2 of the 1st post or the Solo4K?
As far as I know, you canìt replace the Duo2 tuner by a FBC one.
In Solo4K you have the FBC one and you DON'T need two FBC tuner to record/watch/stream 4 channels (better say transponders) or more: just one FBC tuner is able to do that, but only if you've got a SCR/Unicable LNB, taking advantage of its "channels".
The minimum for such a LNB is 4, or you can have 8 or even 32.

How to watch 4k channels on HD linux based satelite recivers:

There are two ways you can watch 4k channels on vuplus duo2 or any similar HD linux based boxes.
    Solution1)
record the 4k channel and ftp it into your lap top to watch it.

    Solution 2)
use KOODI on your smart tv or your laptop. This way Kodi does the job of decoding H265 which is required for watching 4k channels and is lacking in HD boxes.
    ENJOY.

    THIS WAS TESTED WITH DUO2
