Is really compatible Vu with Dolby Digital +?

DD+ without downmix works good. You need something (hardware like amplifier) to decode DD+ audio tracks.

Hi angelofsky1980! I had a DD+ compatible AV system sound and without downmix don´t works.
With my dune mediaplayer I had no problem with DD+ audio codec. I think that is a driver problem in duo2 and solo2. Vu+Uno, Solo and Duo first generation, hasn´t this problem.

Regards from Spain!

In this case do you read Dolby Digital Plus (or DD+) on the information display of your AV receiver? Or you see only "Dolby Digital" without indication of "Plus"?

Anyway, HD audio tracks on bluray are not only Dolby Digital+, there are also DD True HD, DTS HD, DTS Master Audio, much more used in bluray movies than DD+...

I confirm that DD+ is not working on a Duo2 with my compatible AV system with downmix off.
It works fine on my Duo with the same AV system, downmix off and the same channels!!!

Is it a hardware problem or drivers problem?

Are you comparing the same video files played on your mediaplayer and on your VU+'s, or the audio of a video file played on your mediaplayer and the audio from the Spanish sat channel Canal+ Accion HD on your Vu+'s?

Yes mate!

With the Dune mediaplayer I can play the recorded files from the Vu+ hard disk without any problem, but the same recorded file hasn´t any sound when I tried to play it from the Vu+Solo2 or Duo2.

Testing done by hdmi to a new yamaha A/v ampli. With DUO2 and bh, by putting off downmix, no sound. With the same AV yamaha and Xtrend et9200, downmix put off and hear perfectly.
