On my PC in the network connections I want to make connection to my STB. To open the VuSolo+ connection I am asked for a user name and a password. However when I fill-inn the password I applied on the STB the password is being refused.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong ??

In what manner do you try to establish connection to your box?
FTP
Telnet
SSH
CIFS/SMB

Specify please :)

Not by FTP and Telnet but is it is by SSH or others I cannot tell you because of lack of knowledge. The PC and the STB are connected to the modem; the PC by a direct connection and the STB by a WLAN connection. This results in the fact that on my PC in the filing system I can find a File named VuSoloplus wich I have to open by means of a password. On the STB iin the file structure I can find the filing system from my PC.

I hope stis explanation is clear to you, now remains the password.

By default, BH images comes with an user "root" without password.
This mean that SSH (Secure SHell) cannot be used because it's mandatary a password for security reason.
You can setup a password for your box root account logging into your box via telnet and use the command

Code:
passwd

There are a lot of tutorials about telnet/ssh on the web.

If I understand correctly
you trying over " my network places" in your PC to connect with VU+ box

For it does not require any password that I know.
But you must Start Samba in Samba Panel
Blue button , blue button >> Samba/cifs panel
Start Samba if not started and enable Autostart
Maybe you have to restart your PC and BOX.

If it is like this in all windows OS I'm not sure.

Matrix10 I will try your suggestion.
For your info only: I am using Ubuntu 13.04 OS and not Windows OS.

In this way we don't solve nothing. What you want to do with box in your network? Copy files, recording to PC HDD or what? Explain better.

Samba is for Ubuntu (Linux distributions) too.

I did this: ftp://192.168.1.5/ (my Solo2 IP) in Chrome browser, username: root, password: vuplus (I didn't change psswrd by none of plugins, clear BH 2.0.3 installation) and I have full access to my Solo2. Chrome or other Web browser have to work with Linux distribution too. Check your router FTP access settings.
